Lenovo S820, S920, THL W200s.
@foox2k, inew are awfull quality
thl w200s is my actual phone, and I totally disagree, its camera is far worse than that of thl w200 wich is not great either ...
I have the THL T200C and have been exceedingly impressed with the camera. It's better than both the Nexus 4's and the S7589's. I haven't taken any serious shots, but I'll try to post up at least a couple to the pictures forum for you all to see.
well a phones camera to be better than the Nexus 4's is'nt that high a mark. any mid-range device out there will take pictures as good or even better than the Nexus. There is a reason why the Nexus line is far cheaper than their respective "cousins" - and the camera is one of them.
the nexus actually really has only one plus point - the developer community. other than that they are not that great.
ie - i compare most of the pictures to my old Samsung G Note - while only 8MP and f2.4 it takes really good photos, probably also because Samsung got the integration of the HW and the SW right. a lot of phones have great cameras, but the SW implementation just sucks.
heck, even my Samsung Grand with the same sensor and F2.8 (!!!!) is really nice.
Can't say I disagree with any of those points. Smiling
just woke up and this thread has certainly boomed!

some more things to keep into consideration now haha! will check these phonesyou guys listed out! thanks

I think this be an important point. That a $250 China phone excels past Nexus which at least is a mid priced main stream device is a point to be considered.

I've no seen spectacular pics from any the phone. Most decent China brand are not too far behind top Samsung and iPhone pic. These are tiny sensors and only so much can be expected.
from what i have seen so far the most common problems with chinese phone cameras are:

quality of the sensor (since they are really tiny that does unfortunately make a huge difference)
quality of the lens (the best sensor is pretty useless when you pair it with a cheap mediocre lens stack or worse with a single element lens)
SW implementation - the standard camera app is hardly optimized for anything than making snaps
LED Flash - for most phones this is rather a flashlight than a Flash

with the newer generation of non-clone phones we have seen a pretty drastic improvement of all points above, but as always that comes with a price.

i encourage everyone to take some pictures, have a look at the picture thread forum and post yours, also give a short overview on what you know about your phones camera hardware (eg how does the flash perform/ maybe also compare to something other you have)
its a huge help for anyone searching for a phone with a good camera (well as good as it will get with the sensors available)
also keep in mind that the camera is not necessarily a topic everyone is interested in, most people will just want to take the occasional snap for FB or such and for that most of them are ok.
I found one Italian review of Mlais MX69T Pro and they were very satisfied with camera.
They took several pictures and they look great. Also macro funtion is very good.
I found some reviews of POMP C6S and it also has great camera. It is F2.2 but lt apears they realy use Sony camera
(many claim to have it but proves wrong).
Phone is great in all other ways, it is very nice looking slim phone, has lot of nice features (NFC,OTG,MHL), only con i found is that it
doesnt have notification LED.
Some may find non-removable battery as a con, but it is very good acc to people reviews and lasts a day even
in heavy usage, aparantly manufacturer didnt lie about capacity (3000mAh).
Price from 275$.
