Has anyone else faced this problem?

I flashed firmware upgrades for my Lenovo P780, S939 and A850+ through SP Flash Tools v5.1352 and after flashing everything worked fine except the backlight on the Home-Back-Menu buttons on the bottom of the screen.

Any ideas on how to fix? Since this is happening on different models and phones I am pretty sure its not a hardware issue, it is a flashing bug.

Possibly bugs in the ROM you downloaded, or the scatters you used. Or as you suggested, could have been some issue with the flash overwriting part of NVRAM. Restore your NVRAM backup and see if it fixes the issue.

What happens when you flash the entire original stock backup?

Hi guys,

I'm having the same problem with the home button as well. Didn't do anything to it. It just stopped working for no apparent reason. Any solution to this guys? Do I need to reset back to factory settings?
