Hello guys,
Can anyone try to install [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] camera app on their THL T200C/T200, please? Would really like to know if it works on this baby Big Grin Thanks in advance!

P.S. Why is there no sub-thread sub-forum for THL T200C? I can see that there are quite a lot of T200C threads...
Hey man! Thanks for posting this! Big Grin

I'll try to install the camera app, but I really can't take pictures while I'm at work. I'll have to try it out later or maybe on break or something. I'll get back to you as soon as I can!

That's not the latest Google camera is it? If so, it supposedly won't work unless we are on KitKat.
Thanks for your reply!

As far as I know it is something like a port for non-kitkat devices and as long as one has gyroscope it should work... (huh, I like word "should" Big Grin ). If this one is not going to work, I will try other methods (flashing through recovery) as soon as I will get T200C Tongue Don't want you guys to mess with your phones Tongue Even though it is possible to do it safely using backups, it still takes just too much time. Do you have any background on this app? The permissions are making me kinda paranoid.

FWIW, I use Lenovo Super Camera as a replacement for the stock camera app. I've been liking it quite a bit.
Well it is from some kind of page... Not sure about backgrounds... But I have another APK, which I got from Project_Doge rom. That app has photosphere (obviously, not working on my W100 as it does not have gyroscope). Should we give it a try?
Thanks!
By the way, does this Lenovo camera include photosphere? Or is it just an alternative?
The Lenovo camera does not include photosphere.

Thank you for showing me Project_Doge! I'm kind of a nerdy-fan of all things Doge. That rules! Just the same, it looks like Project_Doge is 4.4 so the apk is less likely to work on Android 4.2.

I just tried to install the camera you posted, but got an "App Not Installed" message. Looks like it does have compatibility issues with this phone. Sorry, man.

This one is defo safe. Straight from original kitkat Tongue So if you would give it a try....

About that link, I also got the same error, so maybe it has something to do with apk... Anyway, THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP!
That's gnarly, man! I'll try to get to this later today and/or this weekend. I remember reading somewhere that installing the Google Gallery apk wasn't like a standard install. Had to put the file somewhere and then change permissions and say some magic words and reboot the phone or something. Is this true of this APK as well? Have you ever installed it?
Thank you!
You are right. It is more likely to work if you would place it inside /system/app and then change permissions to rw-r-r-. This can be easily done using es file explorer (firstly you would have to mount /system as writeable, there is such option) and then place apk there. After that just long-click on the apk>properties>near permissions click change and set permissions like this: owner - read and write, group - read, other - read. If it is going to work for you maybe we should create a proper guide... Thanks again for your help!
