This thread is about Doogee Dagger DG550, I though it deserved it's own thread, In this thread you are welcome to compare the Doogee Dagger DG550 to any phone, you like.

Discuss rumors, hopes, If we keep all Doogee Dagger DG550 disscussion in this thread, it wont clog up other threads.

I do plan on getting this phone as soon as it becomes available for shipping, it's current state is Pre-order, which I am no fan of, money is tied up too long, even if phone never becomes ready for shipping.

The phone's specs, for the price is unreal, of course phone isn't out, and we are all spoon feed what the makers want us to read about the phone, Once phone is released if specs are true, this will be a huge success for Doogee and China made phones in general.

Post your thoughts or views, good or bad, just be heard.
No offense, but I think your considering the phone for purchase might be clouding your judgement. The phone is okay. Great looking. Fairly standard specs. 1GB/16GB MT6592. Less than standard considering the features it lacks. If it ends up having HDMI it will be special, otherwise it will still be special, but not in a good way.

I have to disagree about price being *unreal*. It's an okay price, but about right considering no NFC, no Gorilla Glass, no OTG, 1GB, 720p. Not saying these things are important to all users. I never use NFC. Rarely use OTG, don't care about Gorilla and feel 1g RAM and 720P screen is fine. Here I only refer to cost of the phone.

OTG is even stated in the tittle.
It's a stripped down 1gb MT6592 phone. $170 is the right price. There's nothing special, amazing or unreal about it.

You're right, gorilla glass isn't a big deal. NFC, Gorilla Glass, OTG...1gb..720p. I'm not referring to whether the specs matter. That is subjective. I'm referring to these specs in regards to price.

I'm going off what the official site says regarding OTG. Just because 1949deal is our sponsor doesn't mean everything they advertise is correct. Of course, it wouldn't be the first time an official manufacturer's site was incorrect... I mean could be oversight on doogee.cc. But for now, that's what must be referred to.

The phone is very nice looking... I'll give you that much. If it ends up having MHL/HDMI as they claim... then it will be amazing. Otherwise...not. OTG or no.
Your post is most confusing, you say the specs are average, then later admit the phone is amazing.
Don't be confused. I wrote if it has MHL, it will be amazing... Otherwise not.

So you are saying if the phone specs are correct the phone would be amazing, that is the same thing I said from the beginning.

Now we just have to wait til the phone is released and see if the specs of the phone Is accurate.
Good point Vampirefo. Let's see when it comes out. If it has MHL, it will be amazing. If not, it'll be an average MT6592 phone, or below average if it doesn't have OTG, though fairly priced for the specs.

I for one really hope it does have MHL. It will be something special if it has the MHL. Let's hope Doogee is on the real here.
if you are looking for a good price MTK92, why not a Cubot X6?
