My Star N9002 (MTK6582) could not connect to 3G. So I brought it back to the shop. I saw the guy in the shop flashing firmware with SP flash tool. After flashing the firmware, the 3G was working fine. I only realized after I was back at home that the phone total RAM has changed from 2GB to 1GB and the internal storage has changed from 16GB to 8GB. Is there any way that I can change the RAM back to 2GB and internal storage 16GB ? I have backup of the old and new firmware. Can someone pls help ? Thanks in advance.
Just a guess your phones specs were fake, and once the tech flashed a rom without the fake specs, your phone now shows correct specs.

1 GB Ram
8 GB internal sdcard

The 1GB RAM / 8GB Internal Storage are not the phone specs. I got these info by running the apk CPU-Z.

Can someone pls help me get back the original 2 GB RAM / 16GB Internal Storage ?

Any app you run on a phone with fake specs will show the fake specs, I looked up your phones specs and they below, nothing you can do, if you want the fake specs back reflash the rom with the fake specs.

Thanks for replying, bro. I'm puzzled now about the fake specs cos when I used File Manager or Root Explorer to view the internal storage before the new ROM was flashed, I saw 16GB internal storage.

I compared the two ROM, the checksum of the following files are different :
boot.img
preloader.bin
recovery.img
system.img

This fake specs would show in any app including file manger, file managers only reports the info given to them via OS, the OS is given the info from fake scripts.

Anyway you could flash your old rom back, boot into recovery mode, run adb commands and see in fact your specs are fake, in recovery mode the fake scripts can't run.

Can you post your stock rom?

Here are specs.

Can I use the stock recovery to run the adb commands or must I use CWM recovery ? What are the adb commands to use ? Thanks, bro.

P/S My internet speed is only 1.5M. It'll take me ages to upload the entire ROM which is more than 720MB.

you will need cwm recovery, to check for size.

use cwm recovery to mount everything, then.

adb shell
busybox df -h

for ram
free -m
