Just got my HDC S5 Octa core clone last week, However I'm struggling to root it I've used Vroot and it says it's rooted however testing it with the likes of SU user and MTK droid tools etc it says phone isn't rooted there's a load of junk/bloatware that I want to get off the phone any idea's? Most of the other rooting tools don't seem to work on it. If I can get it rooted it'll be a great phone once I change out the batteries for better ones.

Hello, welcome to the forum. Please see the Gizbeat 101 tutorial. If all 8 auto roots fail, then it's time to build CWM for your phone.

Have the same problem with my SM -G9006V

So far no luck,in rooting this phone,but iwill keep trying o solve this.

hi my device boot shows galaxy s5 SM-G9006V unespected as my mistake the rom was gone so installed another rom mt6572 s4(950x) rom but in my device baseband shows MT6589 . I need my first original s5 rom pls help me

Next time make a backup of the original ROM first. You can find original Rom at "needrom.com"

What android are you on if its 4.2 download famaroot works for my phone star g9000 just like the hdc g9000
