Full Version: Update regarding the auto-brightness

This IS a universal issue. The MX56 / h7500+ in China are having the issue as well.

Not sure if I posted this here already or not (my head is spinnin'), but the light-sensor IS detecting change in 'z-app tester', but it's not triggering changes in brightness.

It SHOULD be a simple fix because the light sensor is registering 6 or so different lux steps... They just need to be set to trigger the appropriate brightness values.

If anyone knows if the zp810 and/or h7500+ with the zp810 ROM is experiencing the same problem or not, please update us.
Note, the auto-brightness fix released for MX56 ROM soft-bricked my phone with Hero ROM.
You may use the Velis Auto Brightness App from the Play Store to fine tune the sensor. They also offer a very comprehensive documentation for the program.

I was able to get the brightness about okay for me until there is a fixed version out there, preferably with Jelly Bean 4.2.2 or higher.
I've found on XDA a working patch...

Yes, there are several patches out. I haven't posted them because they are ROM specific as it requires copying over the existing framework.

Also, none of the patches are that good. Yes, they work, but I don't recommend using them unless you're sure the patch is for your ROM.
