using windows 7 but droid tools is being used in xp virtual machine.
Droid tools used to see phone fine.... but ....

I was going to make a backup... followed video to get complete root permissions.


clicked on root , green bar was climbing but USB cable got pulled out of pc before process was finished.....

now if I connect phone and run mtk tools it does not see device and says to reconnect...

when device is plugged in usb port it does have a pop up window saying device is connected but still nothing in droid tools ...

any ideas please ?

problem has been resolved ..
it was not a phone , pc or cable issue.
i just did not give enough time for things to be "seen"
basically I panic attack and thought i wrecked my phone.

post can be removed if admins wish it.

Glad you got it solved. Yes, sometimes it can take awhile for mtk droid tool to communicate and 'pull' the info. USB debugging enabled is normally required as well if memory is serving me correct.
