Hubble shows farthest lensing galaxy yields clues to early universe

Astronomers have unexpectedly discovered the most distant galaxy that acts as a cosmic magnifying glass. Seen in a new image as it looked 9.6 billion years ago, this monster elliptical galaxy breaks the previous record holder by 200 million years.

Too bad hubble has been retired, this telescope really did amazing things for science.
This stuff just fascinates me. Blows my mind.
In my hu(m)ble opinion, instead of occupying the moon with cars they should have put a telescope on it, close to no atmosphere would make it a rather good location I think, maybe the rotation and distance for transmitting the images makes it more difficult but it sure beats an orbit that ultimately leads to downfall on earth (which is what happens to hubble).
Well, just a thought...
