Solution:
1. Restore to factory settings in Recovery Mode. Press Vol+ & Power.
2. Download ROM t206_td_znx_MT6572. Use cashe & user data.img, preloader.

Use scatter file for Samsung III or any suitable MT6572_S00. Do not use the scatter file from backup.

3. Make a backup with MTKtools -- use uboot.bin MBR, EBR1, system

Alternatively use the system.img from ROM_ALPS_JB3_MP_V1.6_20130811.

4. Use SP-Flash-Tools 2.5 to do a firmware upgrade using this combination of files.
