Crashes and force closes and speaker problems happen all the time too with popular name brands. Not only with Whatsapp and Jiayu S5.

My iNew V3 had only charging issue. The rest was fine.

Problems happen with all phones, yes. I bought four phones at the same time for myself and family members. I had problems with the iNew and Jiayu but not the Lenovo's. I'm speaking from personal experience only. The Mediatek 6589t has a gps problem that is well known. I didn't invent the problem, I've experienced it first hand. The iNew has a 6582 and there are no issues I've heard of regarding that SoC. The p780 has a 6589 and the gps is ok too. The K910 has a snapdragon 800 and no issues. My point is quality control is a well documented issue with chinese brands. It can be a crap shoot as to what you end up with. The charging issue of the iNew is a MAJOR problem. It should never have been released with such a fundamental flaw no matter how much you wish to downplay it.

All of this won't stop me buying Chinese brands again, indeed I won't buy anything else in the future. Their value for money and style innovation is unmatched. I will just be very, very careful and do extensive research based on user experiences.

And there are plenty of people who will 'never buy Canon or Samsung or Apple again'...

You want to talk about lemons. Look up the 150 page thread about the Canon sx280hs....and that's coming from an aged top brand company.

To make a statement such as 'I'll never buy iNew again'...based on a phone that came from a company only 6 months old...well it seems obtuse

Of course QC and CS isn't up to the standards of the major brands. If it was, they wouldn't be $100-200 phones. And here we have the major brands with mostly the same problems...

Now the case is rested. You had a bad experience with the iNew V3 and Jiayu G5, and your Lenovos were okay...We hear you.

Several years ago I had a Mercedes and my friend had the same car. They were both crap and I vowed never to buy another and I haven't. Next time I'm in the market for a phone (or a new car) I'll disregard my personal experiences and make sure I ask you first since all other opinions but yours are irrelevant.
