Full Version: More RAM or More Cores?

Just wondering your opinions. Hypothetical situation.

If for the same price and all other specs the same, you could choose either

(a) 6-Core Processor with 2GB of RAM, or
(b) 8-Core Processor with 1GB of RAM

...which would you choose and why?
I personally rarely need that many cores as I try to do one task.

However there may be some web apps like Adobe or a HD game that might benefit from extra 2 cores but I don't use my phone for HD games either.

I was able to play temple run 2 with no apparent hangs so 4 core seems adequate.

so fo rme, RAM is preferred.
I doubt you would really run into a situation where you had to have 8 cores, no app counts cores, more ram would be better.
I find that phones these days are fast enough for me and my daily usage. However I have run into some issues with only 1GB of RAM. Like using my fitness running app, while playing music in the background, and after a few mins one of the apps just closes.
So I prefer more RAM as well. (side note: I don't think I'd be able to tell the difference between a phone with 2GB vs 3GB of RAM though)
