My beloved H9008+ is broken, I managed to break something in the USB connector. and the pins are no longer 100% in place so I have to be very careful when plugging it into USB.

I was able to repair it (sort of) but I'm still frightened, It will break again, this time for good (bad)

What I already did is to order a QI Charger Kit so I don't have to use the USB connector any more. But what would be even better, if I could replace the connector.

Just throwing away a great $200 phone, no pleasant thought.

The connector is soldered to a tiny circuit on the bottom of the phone which is easy to replace. However replacing the connector on the circuit itself seems impossible, everything is so tiny.

Doe anyone have an idea whom I could contact for a spare part?

I mean somewhere in China there is a box with thousands of them in there, just need to know how to contact the person in front of that box Smiling

Any help / info is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Is it surface mounted? Doesn't necessarily have to come from China. Where are you located?
Germany, I also thought of finding someone with good soldering equipment.

It's mounted like in this video
OK, it is surface mounted.
Try looking in your local Mouser/RS Components/Farnell stores. I'm having difficulty searching and navigating with translated pages.

Just search for it:
Micro USB
SMT
Bottom mounted
Female gender
type B (probably)

If it is not too pricey, I suggest you get both type B and type AB to be sure.

For solder equipment, it has to be a fine tipped iron. Limit to 300-350 degrees C so you dont damage the board. Refrain from using solder paste.
You should probably get a can of contact cleaner as well. You will find some in your standard hardware store. After soldering, clean the area with it.
Thanks for the info, the part is not the problem, I don't even have to order it, store is round the corner, but then soldering I can't do it Smiling No Equipment, my soldering Iron is HUGE compared to the pins, I'll just break it.

That's why I thought maybe find a contact and replace the whole circuit.
Any local TV/electronics guy should be able to resolder that without issue. Many cellphone or PC laptop repair guys who know how to solder will do it for cheap (typically $20 or less) in the US.

Learning how to do it yourself would be best of course but not everyone has the time or inclination to do so. Lots of trial and error during the learning process of soldering is needed. Most can learn in a couple of weeks though so long as your hands aren't shakey lol.

derp didn't notice until the last post you probably already know how to solder, sorry
Same thing happened with mine,I dropped mine on the floor whilst charging it, it broke the usb socket away from the PCB, so wouldn't charge at all, I sent it back to China, to the place I bought it, who sent it back to the mlais factory, they fixed it FOC. But I had to pay for the postage to China.
