I downloaded the new CTR that you suggested and linked.
I Installed it.

Voila... My backup now takes 4 minutes 50 seconds.
This is about 40 minutes quicker than than my previous recovery.
I have not yet tried restore, but will tomorrow.

This is really good news for me,I really want to thank you for your help and patience.. Thanks Mate.

One last question... Is there anyway compression can be used on backup?

Restore took less than 4 minutes.... So everything looks good.

Would you consider the kk ROM you linked to
[Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] a better proposition than the one I am currently using?
I can not give you an answer on what to change to.
I am suggesting you must change as there is something wrong with your current one.

check out each official ROM, miui and oppo.

read all the comments.

altho one rom builder as said he has not solved all issues.....this is actually a person worth bookmarking. As he is transparent.....and is likely to solve those issues over time.

good luck

EDIT
######################

as you have tested it....I have uploaded to needrom but do I have your permission to name you?
also can you take a screenshot of first menu so I can upload to needrom

[Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
Yes, you can name me, if you wish.

Re the screenshot of the menu
,I can't take a screenshot..yet..I have been checking around on the internet and it looks like I have to install a few things to be able to screenshot CTR or CWM

..if it's acceptable to you I can photograph it, which is a bit of an analogue way of doing it.but is quick..
my mistake I meant photo

cheers

OK image downloaded and uploaded.

Can I suggest if you are interested, next time you want to upload images,
consider "rescaling" the image to a smaller size.

I suspect your image was an unaltered photo from a nice camera.
I rescale all mine to max of 800 such as 600x800 or 800x600

in your case mine turned into a 403x800.

I am not trying to be rude.....just to save you upload time in future.
off topic.....I would never dream of you downsizing the quality of your wedding photos.....because I don't want your wife to have an excuse to be angry at me

giggles

all the best

I have tested my own CTR for my model for nvram and written a tutorial on it in the tutorials forum.

If you have time....please at least make a backup of your nvram using the backup option in the carliv menu.

I can not prove your restore will work but I can at least semi-prove yours may work by running a strings command against the resultant nvram.img that you might upload for me to look at?

Code:
pwd
gordon@asus:/p4/1ANDROID/2io/1ROMS-STUFF/99NVRAM$
strings nvram.img | less
