Hello All,

I am Richard from the Netherlands. Last week I bought a samsung galaxy S4 clone in chinatown, Kuala Lumpur.

When i got home i found out that google maps couldn't be updated because it did not have the right signature, Google play told me to delete Maps and re-instal. Also seems to be full while i haven't installed apps on it.

I am thinking about rooting it and found this forum, i will read and hope to find al the information i need (and most of all i hope to understand it :p)

So, that was how and why i got here.

Model: GT-I9500
Android version: 4.4.4
CPU Model : MT6589
RAM : 456MB

Sorry to hear about the crappy phone that was sold to you. Unfortunately, the specs you have tell us very little. If you can find any other brand information anywhere else on the phone it'd be helpful.

In the meantime, before you go messing around with anything, be absolutely certain to make a backup of your phone. We have some threads on how to do this in the "Tutorials" section of the site. Especially because you don't have any solid information on what kind of phone you actually have, it might be hard to find a stock backup in case anything ever happens to your phone. Having one on-hand will prove invaluabe.

What kind of information is usefull? There is more information, i downloaded mtkdroidtools, but i am not familiair with using it and it seems to provide a lot info.

buddy I have exactly the same type of phone but bricked,pls I need a preloader or a stock ROM,could you be kind enough to send me these items or upload them to needrom.com and then I will show you how I expanded my internal memory!!!I lost my back up files!!
