Hi..
I owned mtk6575 Samsung galaxy s4 qaud core JDQ39.I9500ZHUAMDE. (rooted) with 2gb ram
Its a single sim phone I cannot access 3g on it.
I am aware of replacing modem.img to fix 3g on other MTK devices but i could not find for MTK6575,,
Please help......

Has the 3g ever worked for you?
Make sure your mobile network's 3g frequencies is supported by the phone.
If it isn't, you can't get 3g on it, despite flashing different modem images.

Well ever since i have bought this phone,, 3g never worked......However i am living in 3g area and this phone is 3g ready as per specifications, but in Engineers Mode when i select WCDMA it reverts to GSM only.
Everything is working fine,,,,,even GPS is perfect but no 3G
I think Athos meant that you check the exact frequency bands that your service provider uses.
See if your phone supports those frequencies. You can check this in Mobileuncle Tools. You are rooted so you won't have problems there. Go into Engineer Mode, Engineer Mode MTK. Under Telephony, look at Band Mode. See which frequency bands for UMTS Mode are ticked.
Also, have you enabled 3G in phone settings? Under Wireless and Networks, go into Mobile networks, 3G Service, try choosing 3G only in network mode, then enable 3G.

Well in band settings of engineers mode (mobile uncle tool) only gsm frequencies. are ticked, but nothing in UMTS, all these are in grey and unable to select any freq.
One of my friend bought same phone but 3g works great on it..,,it is same mtk6575 galaxy. i couldnt get modem.img from it as my friend traveled abroad
also my mobile's sim is subscribed to 3g (wcdma2100)...and area where i am living is having excellent reception of 3g.

As i have mention nothing is selectable except gsm Mode in Mobile uncles tool's Band mode menu,, or phone secret menu. UMTS modes are grey and un selectable.
Please help
if Mobileuncle Tools says no UMTS, then your phone doesn't have 3G support. Sorry, jaffer
