Full Version: Invisible hyperlinks and numbers

My Galaxy S4 clone behaves weird, the hyperlinks and numbers are invisible (white) on WhatsApp and ColorNote. Whereas on other apps like SMS, Email etc. they are normal blue.
On the previous BBM version 1.0 the hyperlinks and numbers were also invisible (white), but after updating to version 2.0 they become normal blue.
Could someone please help giving me a hint or tweak to fix that problem?
Your help will be highly appreciated.

Have you tried messing with your theme settings?

On my phone, it's in Settings > Display > Theme.

I'd poke around through there or similar to see if maybe you can find something.

** WARNING: I kinda only understand enough here to be dangerous. I have a little background in coding, but haven't done it for a long long time. I've never done anything in Android. Everything I'm about to say is based on Google searches and some hacked-together-knowledge from being around software for a while. **

It seems like the settings in API for the default way hyperlinks are colored are in android.widget.TextView . Unless the app creator specifically overrides this with their own settings, it will grab the default values from TextView. In TextView you can change the colors and attributes of hyperlinks.

Therefore, if you can find a way to edit this for your phone (or find an Xposed Installer module that does it), you'll be on the right track.

That is, I think. As I said above, I'm not 100% technically confident in my ability to decipher (let alone explain) what I found. Hope this is a step in the right direction.
