I have two problems the first is during a call the phone is not sleeping so my ear is catching settings, I recalibrate and its OK for a bit then it does it all again so keeps needing to calibrate.
The 2nd is the annoying sim card data connection message blocking me from seeing parts of the keyboard

The first is relatively easily solved. When you pick up a call, hit the power button once and the screen should turn off.

Second is you are on an old ROM. Update to any newer ROM and that SIM notification should stop showing.

Updating to a newer ROM might fix the first issue as well if its a software problem.

Seems to be an update on needrom dated 24/12/14?
