Software application development is becoming more globally distributed in terms of multi-disciplinary team location. It is also becoming more compartmentalised (or de-coupled) as software itself becomes more complex. This is okay because the cloud model of service-based computing teaches us to separate out streams data and bring them in only when needed after ‘core competency’ specialists create them. But it’s not okay if all this de-coupled code fails to be brought together around the same dinner table. So we need software to do that for us.
