its very crazy differences. and service providers are even choosing sides, such a mess with the wpc pma a4wp confusion.

This is a great development by MTK.

Now lets see what actual products they put out and how they perform. Hopefully, this will enable the mass production of charging pads that address the two major weaknesses of all technologies: pad size and phone/charger placement.

Small pad sizes and the requirement for exact placement on the pad are huge negatives - to the point where sometimes a simple charging cable or docking station is easier (and cheaper).
