Pursuant to my "can't log into the google play store" problem, I can't sign in to the GMail app either, so it appears to be Google-related apps aren't working (despite having wifi/internet work just fine). The message reads:
"Couldn't sign in
----------------------------------------
There was a problem communicating with Google servers.
Try again later."
Sorry for hammering the thread with a triple-post, but I always get uneasy when my aliexpress electronics start showing glitches. Maybe it's an easy fix for one of your chinaphone pros?

I didnt had any issue with the google play.
The only thing that I cant make to work, don't
know if it's me, it's the data connection. I try
to install my provider internet data, but the
mobile doesn't accepts it.

Well, I'm not sure which of the three did the trick (bad science, I know - three variable at once is a pain to work with), but I am problem free (at least, until the next hurdle)! Here's what I did:
1) Reset to factory settings (despite only having the phone for a few hours)
2) Turn on location sharing
3) Manually set the time to be correct
Various conflicting sites suggested some/all of the above, but I now have a rooted, Google-connected MP 809T!

Onix... we have 5 pages of Screenshots... what confirmations you need more? By the way there are many sellers now selling this phone. I still recomend the one I bought mine from (see link in my signature) , on 2 orders he forgot the TF card but he refounded the difference via PayPal with no issues, the phones are perfect.
After 2 months I can still say i'm happy with this phone, sometimes it lags a bit when opening some heavy apps but i had this issue also on S3 so....
If you want to give your phone a better launcher more customizable, I recomend MoboLive, very nice ans smooth.

I have been using this phone for one month now, and overall I'm really happy with it.
However I'm experiencing two small issues, which are not major bugs, but annoying somehow. I wonder if anyone with the same phone is experiencing this:
1. Wallpaper horizontal scrolling is not working at all. I tried with several images, but no success, it remains static. (I could live without it of course..)
2. I cannot add, nor remove any desktop screens. By default the phone offers five screens, but I can't change this. I was trying to minimize these screens to one summary screen, but it doesn't work, like it used to work with my previous phones.
Do these features work on Android 4.3 at all?? Or are they just phone specific bugs?
Thank you

Thank you Obviously you need to install another launcher, like nova or adw

Hi,
I own the phone now for several weeks and did so me testing.
Imho all 809t show wrong specs to cheat benchmarks and users.
The CPU is a MTK6582 quad core (reported as octa core) and it's got 989736B RAM (reported 3GB). In latest stock ROM SWAP support is enabled (524284B). The screen resolution is 720x1280 (reported as full HD).
Nevertheless this phone is the best one I've ever used.
P.S. I'm the poster of [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] and corresponding CTR recovery.

What do you mean swap support? Does it use a swap partition in the internal nand?
Anyone knowing what happens with NFC? Does it exist?
