Hi,
I was too enthusiastic to order a Star N9389 phone with the Quad Core MTK6589 and the 5.3 inch screen. The price was right and when the phone arrived it looked nice.
Although, the camera does not focus beyond 50 cm, everything beyond that range is out of focus. Here is a sample picture, completely out of focus:
Plus the phone display turns off if you adjust the display brightness and then you have to reboot the phone to get it up and running again.
In addition to this, the display infrequently flickers (e.g. when flipping the city using the 3D Weather App built in, the one with the little sheep).
The worst, the screen may also has issue in showing all the colors. On mine I have now completely off colors with everything it displays. Looks like pictures created by Andy

Most of these issues may be software (the camera dose focus well in the factory mode you can enter by holding down power and volume down while starting the phone up), yet the screen issues, well this is a nightmare. I bought it using AliExpress and I already have opened a dispute (and I am not alone, another buyer from another forum has the exact same issues with the N9389 Star phone).
The only good thing about this phone: the GPS is pretty fast in locking the satellites and the battery is a dream. The 3000 mAh battery lasts for 5 days in standby (I did not use it, just let i sit on the desk) and there is still 50% capacity. 1 SIM card installed, WiFi and the rest turned off.
For anything else, avoid the phone.
