Looks good. Just a quick note...not a big deal, but this is MT6592M. That is 1.4GHz. I like this move by iNew.
MT6591 is fine, but from a marketing standpoint MT6592 is better known and consumers see 8 cores instead of 6 = easier sell.

True, It will be and I hope it does well for iNew. I'm happy with a couple of more cores on board.
I wouldn't have found it if Coolicool weren't a forum sponsor. Another site says they have it, but there are horror stories about them selling phones not in stock, so I wasn't ordering from them.
Y'all know how it goes.

Props to you guys for this thread. I was just perusing through phones at CooliCool for another thread and stumbled across the iNew V8 Plus. I was wondering if anyone else knew anything about it. Lo and behold @pz93c has already bought one, you all are already talking about it. You dudes rule so hard!
I agree -- moving to the Octa Core (along with a solid 2GB of RAM) really is a good move. It's hard to stay competitive otherwise. Bravo to iNew.
I'm really excited to see how this phone turns out. My girl has the first gen iNew V8 with 1GB of RAM. Aside from the initial buggy software and the camera occasionally bugging out on her, she really loves it. Loves it so much, in fact, that she refuses to let me try to update the ROM for her. Haha.
Keep us updated! Thanks for going out on a limb and trying this phone out!

Well, someone has to be the guinea pig.
My thought on the processor was if six cores were going 1.5 ghz and 8 cores are going 1.4 ghz, they have to be working less and, in theory, should make for better battery life and still be quick and smooth.
I'm just hoping for fewer bugs in this software. lol

Okay. I got the phone last Tuesday and, so far, everything is smooth and stable.
The rear touch pad is sensitive, but works as advertised. I have yet to program specific apps, but so far, so good.
I haven't ran across bugs yet, but I haven't been looking for them.
I'm happy with it so far.
