iNew V7: Boosting the V3

iNew’s nomenclature of their series models trigger instinctive expectations for the V7’s spec set to fall in between the V3 and V8 specs.

The iNew V7 will be a quad core MT6582 device clocked at 1.3GHz, with 2GB of RAM and 16GB for internal storage. It will feature a 5.0 inch 720p IPS display with 15% improvement in brightness performance, contrast ratio, and power efficiency.

Other areas of improvement are the primary camera and audio, wherein iNew will be utilizing better quality audio chips.

Without a doubt, the iNew V7 will catch the attention of China phone enthusiasts and iNew loyalists, with the 16MP Sony Exmor RS sensor for the primary camera.

It seems using Sony’s camera tech is becoming a trend for China phones. Many people love taking photos. Considering that fact and coupling it with Sony’s great reputation for producing quality images with their sensors, makes it a very wise move for China phone manufacturers to invest in this aspect.

Micromax’ Yureka, Kolina’s K100+, and Cubot’s X9 are a few of those that will implement Sony camera sensors.

Lastly, with the iNew V3’s infamous battery issues, the V7 will be packing more in this specification. The phone will be powered with a 2100mAH battery, which should do fairly well, for a quad core, 720p screen.

  1. This phone is really great! Very nicely built, metal frame on the sides. Memory is all internal, so you have stock 16 GB for apps etc. Rear camera is sharp and crisp.
A very good buy if you’re looking for a snappy 3G smartphone, good screen and with a great camera and lots of memory. Love it.

  2. Oh, no NFC. That’s a shame. Got used to use my V3’s NFC in the car for auto-starting Waze when driving to/from work.
NFC is not really a must-have, but once you got used to the technology, you consider a phone without it somewhat incomplete. However, nice spec!
