Bootloader MTK 6592

i got a x110 mtk 6592 but the bootloader gives me a menu

>recovery
>fastboot
>normal

the problem here is any kind of key combination i make it seems the "OK" button doesnt seem to work. is there a way to access the recovery menu through this or is there any way to fix this problem?

Try pressing volume up until the arrow points at recovery, then press volume down once.

If phone is rooted, you could always install quickboot from playstore
or even better mobileuncle

quickboot has options to boot into various modes

mobileuncle has only one boot option.....but does other stuff.....and that option to to boot into recovery mode.

Similar to me, I got a fake S5 with the chip MTK6572.
Before to "lost" the mobile, the system or even "AnTuTu Benchamark" detected 3GB Ram and 16Gb storage. well this is not subject.

After rooting the phone, I wanted to install a CWM, then I used the ROM Manager application and another app to do the same. I could installed CWM and the TRW. I tried to reboot the phone in recovery mode and any worked. Even if the CWM installed didnt work, the phone started well.

Some minutes later when I was using the phone as usual, the mobile shutdowned, since this moment I cannot start it again.
The only thing that I can do is, to start the "recovery mode", with the button combination vol up + power + home, it just opens normally;

Select boot mode:
[VOLUME_UP to select. VOLUME_DOWN is OK.]

[recovery mode]
[fastboot mode]
[normal mode]

The ADB doesn't work, I tried with Win and Linux, the prompt never find the phone, even if the OS detects that there is something in the USB and I am using the MKT drivers.
I tried more than one tool through the computer (ODIN, sp_flash_tool and adb/fastboot), but no chance.

Now I can not use the phone, it doesn't start and any of the previous options work!

Well I hope that someone can help us, anyway if you have any recommendation/suggestion, feel free!

Just a note:
Some bootloader/recoveries use vol+/- for scrolling through the list and then pushing power on/off to activate the selected item.

This is exactly what cookiedough is saying.....but in a more long winded way
with an option of checking if its true for lk.bin

Ok to the original poster I have an idea. If you can download your official ROM suitable to use for flashtools and just upload the lk.bin I can peek inside it.
upload will be around 400 KB......if below does not work for you.

My custom ROM is faulty but the official lk.bin can be peeked with a linux command.....stripped of junk.....and grep not used as I might miss important bits

Now I am not an expert on lk.bin so any one free to comment

what I think it is saying.....is the volume up key is the select key.....but when you first get into menu.....you have to actually push the vol up a number of times to get to your target.

To say that again.....it does not allow you to press the down vol key on first appearance.......it wants you to cycle up and then and only then will it accept the down key as the input or OK key
