prisonlife, CWM has a smaller footprint. Use that instead. It has more or less the same functions as TWRP.

Installation on my Neken N6 worked out fine. Booting into recovery, fine as well.
After starting into recovery mode it says:
E:Can´t mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can´t mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can´t open /cache/recovery/log
and the same with /cache/recovery/last_log
After starting the backup it says:
... backup of boot image completed
... backup of recovery image completed
Backing up system ...
Can´t mount /system
Reboot of the Phone works ! Everything works normal.
What went wrong ?

Hi to all !
Easy Magic CTR v2.4 works well on my MPIE G7 MTK6582 but I've found a better solution (link at the bottom of the page) because Easy Magic CTR v2.4 has made me trouble : when I tap a specific option I can't turn back on the options menu. I've tried 2 different installation methods.
FIRST:
- start Easy Magic CTR v2.4 installer for MediaTek devices
- press Yes--> Auto
- you have a secure boot.img on your MTK device
- you have MT 6582 SoC
- sorry not compatible for your MTK Kitkat
SECOND:
- press No --> Manual
- please copy your Stock recovery.img to C:\Users\Cleopatra\CTRv2.4\Stock folder & press OK
- you have a secure boot.img on your MTK device
- Please select the nearest res for your MTK device as listed below (540x960)
- Does your MTK uses the new lun file path ? Yes
- congratulations Carliv Touch Recovery v2.4 installed
BUT both methods have the same problem.
RECENTLY I've installed Philz Touch 6.57.9 Clockworkmod v.6.0.5.1.
I've tested it: at first Wipe data, Wipe cache, Wipe dalvik cache, Format /system and then Restore the recovery.img . Everything works very well.
BE CAREFUL : when MTK-PhilZ runs and ask you "do you have a flipped recovery screen?" CLICK NO !

Didn't work for me on my note 3 clone MT6572. Said my recovery partition is too small. Any tips? Not sure if its easier to change that or keep looking for a recovery image online.
Speaking of which, can anyone point me to these downloads?
MT6572
Recovery IMG
ROM (preferably cyanogen mod)
