i have received my v3 a few hours ago, I have tried it with 101 and 103 firmware, and I must say that all the pictures made has the same f2.2 aperture setting as all chinese mobiles I have used, so not f2 and no sony probable ...
and what is worst is that the quality of the pictures taken in any interior, with no bright daylight are awful ... with or without flash, that is because the software puts the camera in iso 1600 and with 1/10 second aperture time, so the pictures are always grainy and dirty, and most of the times moved/blurred because of the lont exposure time ...
an absolute mess ... a thl w200 makes quite better interior pictures, even if they are not very good, they are really much better ...
i cannot understand who a maker announces a product with 2 brilliant characteristics (6.5 mms thick and sony f2 camera) and turns out that both of them are a lie ... awesome

I'm no photography expert in terms of technical detail, but I do know that having owned 2 other chinese mobile devices the V3 delivers the best picture quality of them all. This is in comparison especially with the HDC Galaxy s4 & its supposed 13mp camera (software interpolated).
Sony, not sony, it does deliver good pictures imo. But as I always say to people - if you want professional pictures, buy a professional camera like an SLR. You want to be able to capture quick memories on a phone, and the V3 allows that better than others i've tried.
Just my 2pence worth.

Well said bay. The photos in low light are fine. Obviously if taking at 1600 with a sensor this tiny, they're going to be noisy. Don't expect miracles and you'll be okay. For less noise, take photos at lower ISO.

Also, you could try other cameras from the Play store.

Any link on that, or it's just a personal opinion?

As Squier already suggested, there are many other camera apps in Play Store. Ofcourse, all of them are relying on a camera firmware, but they can very often apply a "finishing touch" that makes photos better than the ones without it. Give it a try. But it's all really about expectations. If you have too much of it, no smartphone will be good enough.

It really matters what the hardware say, and not the software. I can change JPEG's EXIF to say F15.5, but that won't make photos any different
If I helped you, clicking "Thank You" button will be enough.

Burs how can we find the truth? I can't see aperture setting in any camera app I've tried!

uaaauuu ... I see no space for discrepancy here ...
you can believe whatever you want, there are people that even believe in god, but it has absolutely no sense to change an exif puting a worse value than announced, they should do the other way if they wanted to cheat on us, don?t you think?
why I say it is not sony? if they lie with something so obvious and ease to contradict, I bet one million against 10 dollars the camera is not sony ... that is my confidence
I own and use two differente dslr cameras, although i am not a pro i know about these things, and i have made hundreds of photos with now 5 different chinese phones, lenovo a820, caesar h7500+ (zopo 810), vowney v5 and thl w200
when a new chinese mobile comes to my hands i use to do similar pictures to test them, and i must say that the interior pictures made with this inew v3 are the worst of them all, only similar to the dreadful vowney v5 that I sent back for quality problems, the best of them? no doubt the caesar h7500+, the quality of interior photos was sometimes comparable with some dslr results
now defend inew for cheating their clients and keep repeating their lies to everybody, that you have a sony f2 camera in your phone ....
anyway i should say that late night yesterday i tried the 1.04 update after having uses more configurable software cameras from the market, and altough you can get some better results with other software, the problem lies within the camera firmware ... fortunately it seems that v 1.04 gives quite better results, although the apertures is stille f2, of course
so i repeat loud and clear, THIS PHONES HAS NO F2 CAMERA, and most probably no sony hardware at all, the makers are profesional cheaters

@elsita
Let's write the advertising cheats one by one;
1. It's 6.5mm thick, thinner than ipad and iphone
2. Air Guesture (which i don't need)
3. OTG (which was not working first batch, software problem)
4. Camera Sony F2.0
Thank God it has CGG but i am not sure it's 1 or 2.
Honestly i still like it anyway.
