Camera not f2 aperture, probably not sony either
#11
I must say that there is a huge difference between f/2.0 and f/2.2 in low light photography circumstances.
Before buying the phone I made my personal search and found that there is no Exmore Rs chip combined with a f/2.2 lens.
In our case there is no doubt that we have to do with an f/2.2 lens and the chip must be the exmor RS MX135.
If somebody searches Chinese sites (Chinese language) will find pictures and prospects describing the aperture of the phone as f/2.2. Another beauty from photoshop.
Take a look at the specs of another clone of Inew V3.

Clearly f/2.2.
Another lie from Inew.
The most annoying and unacceptable is the lock to the shutter speed to 1/10 using the flash.
We can change ISO but there is no, until now, option to change shutter speed. That means nothing but blurring.

Yes elsita, you're correct I doubt the iNew V3 have an Sony 13MP F2.0 camera. Camera FV-5 detects it as F2.2 and you can compare taking a picture in 8MP and 13MP you won't notice a difference in detail, guess what, interpolation... I guess the camera is a 8MP F2.2 generic brand.

I have considered this phone before I bought the Xiaomi Red Rice that has real 8MP Samsung F2.2 BSI camera, with a lot better results in low light environments.

For the doubters of what elsita said, make a video in the night with Xiaomi Red Rice and another with the iNew V3 and I doubt you will still believe the camera is what they said.

i folks, i'm new on this forum, and i don't have yet this phone, i'm looking as many info as possible before buy.
i downloaded ROM v1.0.3, unpacked boot.img, and search for text inside the binaries.
i found all this camera models in the kernel:
- GC0313 GalaxyCore vga
- GC2035 GalaxyCore 2mpx
- GC5004 GalaxyCore 5mpx
- OV5648 OmniVision 5mpx
- IMX111 Sony 8mpx
- IMX135 Sony 13mpx
so in kernel there is only support for SONY camera as rear camera, the Others are for front camera,

main camera (rear camera) has lens model FM50AF

in this sony press note: [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
there is a refer to a camera module (cmos+lens assembly) with an aperture F2.2, but is not specified which lens they use, V3 use FM50AF, of which i'm not able to find mode info about aperture.

meybe inew don't say too many lies, just a little bit Smiling

lie or not this is most important thing:
"For the $180 there is nothing in the market which can touch the V3 for image quality! In fact the iNew V3 is fast becoming the phone I will recommend to anyone looking for a sub $200 device, it’s even better than the mighty Xiaomi Hongmi!" - another site
And i can confirm this so really don't care...

By the way the thickness is a lie, that is true.

So far this is the best chinese phone i have ever had and i used like 10+.

It is Sony exmor RS the sensor of the iNew. Below is a quote describing the sensor:

Quote:There are three camera sensors in Sony's Exmor RS lineup, and the 13-megapixel IMX135 is the leader of the gang. Next up are the IMX134 and the ISX014, both of which offer 8 effective megapixels. To no surprise, the company is also offering auto-focus modules built specifically for these sensors – one with a f/2.2 aperture and 5-element lens for the IMX135, and two f/2.4 4-element modules for the IMX134 and ISX014

Check this article for more details of our sensor [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]

Also oyr sensor is a RGBW (red, green, blue, WHITE) not just RGB. The "White" provides better results at low light condition and at back light condition but is better to read this article for better understanding.

One thing is for sure. Our phone has a VERY good camera

EDIT: This sensor is used also to SG4 and SG Note 3 but off corse the image processor (the CPU itself) is different. For example the Note 3 can record 4K video (UltraHD) and the result is amazing!
