I think I see what he is talking about lolol he thinks that the serial number is the IMEI #

no my friend it is not . if you like your IMEI back just look under the battery or on the box it came in . then use Mobileuncle MTK Tools like Cleopatra said .

Ohh look guzzz I know that imei and serial number are differenent one. Imei is 15 digit unique and serial is alphanumerical....
My problem is: after flashing a new ROM my both imei's are invalid ... and I had not made backup of NVRAM so.. I have to pick another mobile (Backup its NVRAM and restore to my mobile through MTKDroid tools). Now I have same IMEI as that of other phone which i used to backup of chipset 6572.
Solved problem is I have changed my original IMEI back with *#*#3646633#*#* code.
Still problem is I want to change my serial number back to oroginal which was written on the phone's back under the batter(from which warranty has be claimed). But the problem is the IMEI&SN writer does detect my phone because it doesn't go to META MODE
I also tried MauiMETA and this also not detecting.
