[Q] HELP: Phone locks-up

The same issue here guys, I have had this phone for about 8 months and Ive always used it with the official 4.2.1 20130425 from zopos website. The problem started before 2-3 weeks, it switched off about 1-2 times per day. Now it is more than 6-7 times... It is very disturbing and I will be very happy to find a solution together. Ive tried the newer official 4.2 ROM from zopomobile but the phone works somehow laggy. I guess I will also try the Hero H7500+ DzhYn Mod V1.0
Is there any way to look up some error logs on the phone to see what actually happans before it turns off (in my opinion it is some kind of crash, not a turn off)?

Yes, 'nikoly' I agree with you. it is not a phone turn off, it is some kind of crash,
I too tried ZOPO official STOCK 4.2 ROM, it is laggy and slow.

Then I tried ''Hero H7500+ 4.2.1 ******** Mod By DzhYn (Port From Lenovo P780) ОБНОВЛЕНА 25.06.2013'' ROM. It was a good ROM, but it I was unable to update the GOOGLE pre-installed applications from PLAY store, as it gave some signature verification error. hence i was unable to update GMAIL, MAPS and other pre-installed apps from PLAY store.Tried to resolve it through many ways (cache removed, then uninstalled play store apps, used SIM data connection as well, washed cashed from CWM recovery, un-installed gmail and maps through root and then tried to update, but all failed), but finally i decided to remove that ROM.

I am using now KtK v0.2.3 . it has the same interface and features as of Stock ROM 4.2.1 with pre-rooted. Using it since yesterday, and have not found any such issue yet. will give feedback after weekend, I hope this is stable and good ROM.

Nikolay, you would be pleased to hear that Ktk 0.2.3 is very stable, i did not faced phone hang up / lock problem in last 4 days, since I am using it.

So you are recommended to use that ROM and give your feedback as well.

aliravian, thank you for your feedback I will flash my phone and share my results in a couple of days. I can tell that the app that Gizbeat suggested ( [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]) prevents the phone from locking-up but drains a full battery for about 15 hours without so much using the phone.
I hope that someone else joins the discussion and find out what is causing the problem. Obviously it is a common problem for every H7500+ , it is a matter of time to occur.

the app you are mentioning, i do not think, it is a good solution.

Ktk 0.2.3 is quire a stable ROM, I really loved it, as it has some enhanced features as compare the original STOCK ROM.

Yes. Likely battery will drain quicker if you're keeping your phone awake.

Good afternoon,
I was experiencing the same problems as described here.
I noticed that the phone memory was almost full so I freed some memory and the system stopped hanging so many times.
The strange thing is that in system settings the phone storage says:
Total space 1.48gb
Available 56.57MB
Apps 270MB
Cache 6.12MB

I thought it was strange that I only had 56MB available when summed up the APPS and CACHE only gives about 276MB.

I found out a folder under "data/core" that is occupying almost 1 gb just with files called zcore-001.zip to zcore-7***.zip.

Does anyone know if this files can be erased or what they mean?

Since it seams to me as this being the cause of the hangups if I could delete them i could check if the problem was solved or not.
My phone is an H7500+ rooted using stock 4.2.1

After ten days of using this ROM, I faced the same problem of phone hanging and lockup. it even hanged for about 12 times in 3 hours. Even sometimes just after the 5 minutes of restart.

I yesterday reset it with re-installing the same ROM KtK 0.2.3 and now it is working fine again....I guess it is some particular software which is actually making this model or phone Crash.

@nikolay : can you share your experience/feedback. did not face the problem again ?

Sorry for the late reply, I did not install KtK but I tried with a factory reset on the stock 4.2.1 20130425, and not only it didnt lock up for 7 days so far, but the battery is at 51% I thought that when I reflash the ROM there is no need for a factory reset but it turned out there is a difference. After the reset I didnt install anything, neither used any data connection, only phone service with a clean stock rom. Thats for now, 7 days with no problems I am surpriesed of the low battery consumption, really didnt expect such difference. Now I plan to install my apps 1 per day to see if the phone changes its behaviour.

Update: I have just turned on my data connection and the phone crashed... same with wireless internet. And the battery consumption rised significantly. I guess it is some google application messing up the phone when it connects to internet! I did not even insert my google account user and password. I plan to install some firewall to see what app causes this.
