OK, here's the thing: I call someone and put him on speakerphone, and at first the proximity sensor works in a way that is turning the screen on and off. And that's all ok. But if I put my phone away from me and talk a little bit more, there's no way of taking control of the phone, except hanging up with the power button and then do what I wanted to do (check my friend's phone number to give it to my caller, or something else). I think that's not normal phone behavior, so I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing that? Did I toggled some setting which has something to do with that or is it a firmware bug? Or is it just me not using the phone properly?

I've now tested a call using a speakerphone for one minute, and all functions are working, so I can do everything on the phone, then I got ten minutes of talk time and never had a problem I can use my contacts, apps, settings, and again to return to the call in progress. I tested the recording calls and works ok.It's all been tested on 1.0.4 rom.I never use a speakerphone, and this I only tested : Wink:

Thanks. I'm still on 1.0.1, maybe it's because of that. But I kinda turn out to be an ass when I say to my caller "wait, I'll get that number for you", and then I remember that I can't do that, so I must say "sorry, my phone can't do that" I must end the call, check the damn thing, and then take a dial again. Pretty inconvenient and annoying as hell.

Then maybe a problem in the rom, and you probably have a reason why you're still on v1.0.1, if that's the problem, I believe you that it is very uncomfortable to talk, so I do not understand why you are using a speakerphone is not working properly, and eating battery and have such probleme.I just to mention that my phone works better if the default language english U.S., and when you change the language in my country (Croatia),something is not working well.I do not know why, but I do not care.If you have not tried it, try it because it might help

I'm not on a newer rom, because all what I need works as it should on my current version. Except this "screen doesn't turn on" thingy ofcourse. It's not that I'm using the speakerphone all the times. I use it only for those occasions when I need both of my hands free, and while in a group of people whom the call concerns. I also use English language on all of my devices with no exceptions, because when I see user interface in Croatian language, I don't understand a single word because all of those fancy translated technical terms (although my native language is also Croatian). But it's really hard to believe that changing languages would help in my case, or pretty much any other case. I'll check this speakerphone thing as soon as I upgrade my firmware, but I'm waiting for a newer version. So I thought I would learn some quick fix to help me in the meanwhile.

Burs, you should change the settings that power button ends the call.
By doing that you can press the power button to activate the screen.
The same thing did happen to me to a Samsung phone I had (Galaxy Y) but I didn't find a solution so I was using the above. To me the problem was worst because it was happening all the time even if you are speaking "normally" not on the speaker!

Thanks. I disabled that option and will check how it works next time when on speakerphone.

kkranjc7 said he's on 1.0.4 with the same issue, so I don't think that will help.
