[Question] s4 clone mt6575 emmc & sd-ext not mounting phone cant restart

Boss-

"!Updates_to_Recovery" has created but i have six zip files (boot, DSP, logo, recovery, system n uboot) there. Where system is the biggest one. As u said earlier [to remove lk.bin file]..where to find that file?? Pls tell me more clearly step by step the total partitioning process...sorry that our communication level is not in the same level :-(

ANd so far i have understood i dont need to use sp flash tool to do this....really glad to know that coz the usb vcom driver is really tricky...its connect n suddenly disconnect...u have to totally depend on luck... thanks for ur continuous suggestions..

if u don't see any file lk.bin, then it is fine, just copy this system.zip to yr sd card.

Power on yr phone, run the Meteos partition app, choose the size that u intend to use for the internal storage ( I recommend 2.5 gb, as yr phone is 4gb rom), saved, then boot yr phone into CWM recovery

in CWM recovery.
1 - "wipe/factory reset"
2 - "wipe cache partition"
3 - "advance", then "wipe dalvik cache"

then go back
"install zip from sd card"
then choose the system.zip that u had copied to the sd card earlier

then after finish , "reboot system now".

if it would not start after 5 minutes , stuck at the logo. then reboot into recovery, then do "wipe/factory reset" one more time, then "reboot system now".
after this, u will see yr internal storage will be changed to 2.5GB




for flashing with cable, u said it is difficult to get the device read by computer.
yes, u can only see the device for 1 to 2 sec when u connect yr phone(without the battery) to the computer
Run the sp flash tool(ver 3.1316 or ver3.1324), u chose the scatter file, then hit the button "download" , only then u connect the phone (without the battery) to the computer, then it will start to flash the rom into the phone.

i will give it a try..but boss r u sure in this way there will be no problem (regarding sd-ext & emmc couldn't mount issue)
Today through Z-Device test i have tested my (internal + Phone) storage n below is the result-

Total Size- 3.6 GB
Partition Size-1 1 KB
Partition Size-2 512 MB (I think its system)
Partition Size-3 512 MB (I think its internal storage)
Partition Size-4 2.07 GB (I think its so-called internal SD)
Partition Size-5 5 MB (Have no idea what it is)


Boss can u tell me how to combine the full storage in to one whole....or as we have discussed method what will be the new structure of the total storage of 3.6 GB...and if i use that method how mush size should i select??

Hi, pls post ur phone details (phn configuration, baseband, kernel all the detail)..because if u flash with wrong rom it will be hard bricked :-(

Boss i dont think it has created coz both the 512 MB size partitions r showing & when i am connecting to my laptop one of 512 is showing as internal sd while 2 gb partition is un-accessable

Gizbeat has shown something by modifying EBR....i will try to understand that...but the problem is i dont have linux installed in my pc...lets hope for the better result....if u have any other idea pls share..thanks for ur continuous support... :-)

I did come across this situation in my ZP990 yesterday
E: can't mount/cache/recovery/command

E: can't mount/cache/recovery/log

E: can't open/cache/recovery/log

E: can't mount/cache/recovery/last.log

E: can't open/cache/recovery/last.log



so, what I did is
go to
"mount n storage"
then
"format cache". then the problem solved.

what was the structure of partition of u...and how it has changed after u use that tool...again when i tried to use the zip file update (system) as u said it didn't worked actually...rather i had to do advance restore from the image (system) in canygeon backup left by mtkdroid tool while backing up my total phone...i think u got my point

Don't worry about the partition. The programme will do the partition for u auto.

Power on yr phone as usual. Run the meteos 65xx partition tool. Choose 2.5 gb(as yr phone is 4gb rom). Run into recovery mode, then format the cache, then install yr rom( the one u created by MTK droid tool, the system .zip file)

The software barely can hard brick yr phone,
Since u can recover yr phone by sp flash tool
