Yes, you're right. That's a more probable explanation. Not that 25MB/s is generaly imposible, it's just that cheap sd cards together whith cheap phones/USB controllers can't reach that level so easily. 25MB/s is what you can get if the data you're copying for testing purpose, was previously stored in SD-Booster cache. This way the data is not read from your sd card, but from RAM where the cache resides! And 25MB/s is in fact the max speed of iNew V3 USB2.0 controller and not the actual data rate that your sd card can achieve. I also get only 25MB/s (I've seen 30-35 at max) from my external HDD which can transfer files with 110MB/s over eSATA, just because it's connected to laptop's USB 2.0 port. But when you connect your V3 to a laptop with USB3.0, you just can't have faster file transfer rate, because the limiting factor is again V3's USB 2.0. So that's a placebo for sure. Or again SD-Booster at work. So you see, there's a lot of other things in this game, and many things can be deceiving. Especialy when some magical apps are at work. They ofcourse can help a bit, but don't expect they will double or triple the performance out of thin air.
If I helped you, clicking "Thank You" button will be enough.

It doesn't matter in what direction are you copying. It's enough you have USB2.0 on either side, and it will be a bottleneck for the whole process. But hey, we're just talking here And it has to do with your original post, since you broaden its scope to sd cards too

UPDATE 5 : SOME SIMPLE BUT NECCESSORY TWEAKS THAT YOU CAN DO THEM RIGHT NOW!
Ladies And Gentlemen I'm so proud to announce this new that I've hit the 5+ hours on-screen time on my inew v3 without any magical move
it's been about 20 days that I'm charging the phone through that cycle (using it till it dies and when its turned off , I plugged it into wall charger charger)
almost 4 hours of it I was browsing pinterest nonstop (using wifi).
I think I've found the trick : you shouldn't let your display turn off a lot of times when you know you wanna work with your phone for a long time. (web browsing / photo editing / reading books / etc...)
Alright here is the instruction:
- idk if it's one of the causes or not , but , FOR ABOUT 20 DAYS I ONLY CHARGED MY PHONE WHEN IT WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. WHILE IT WAS TURNED OFF, AND I WAITED FOR IT TO BE FULLY CHARGED. THEN TURNED IT ON AND USED IT. I'M NOT SURE IF IT IS ONE OF THE CAUSES OR NOT!
- check out update 3 (on the first page) and update 4 ( page 3) on this thread.
now here we go to do some simple tweaks :
these are not anything professional at all! , just simple little things that helped me have better battery life time..
just check your settings and make them like these pictures.
I'm too tired so I just took some screen shots. nothing complicated.
I don't have an external battery charger, those who have can also use these tricks , and charge their batteries via an external charger to see if it improves anything for them or not. please test and share the results
for me :
UPDATE 3 + UPDATE 4 + UPDATE 5 = gave around 5 hours of on screen time on a single full charge.
test them and share your results here
