[Doogee Mix] ROM OTA update 20170714 fixes some issues

The new ROM 20170714 eliminates problems with low light focusing. Previously, it wouldn't even try to focus in medium indoor lighting in some situations. Now attempts (and generally achieved) focus every time. Color me surprised. Truly thought wouldn't see this issue fixed.

In addition, now the second camera is working in blur mode, which means there is a camera there and not a dummy lens. Unfortunately, blur mode is still effectively useless.



Will see if notice anything else. But for now am pleased with the focus fix.

Hello Badrey, yes this is 6+64GB. At the moment I haven't seen a download for it. It is an OTA update. It's official. To receive the OTA you might need to be on the 20170630 ROM.

If Doogee told you there's only 20170630, then whoever you talked to doesn't know about the OTA. Doogee is only the brand, they aren't the factory. Possible the factory pushed the OTA out and didn't even tell Doogee.

So far, the only fix I've seen is the camera focus fix. I'm sure there's more fixes, but haven't discovered them yet.

This is weird I check for OTA updates all the time I still get the "Your device's software is currently up to date" message

Well i went straight away to flash my phone but turned out i also got the error "The load scatter file is invalid" and i saw your thread about removing chinese symbols or words but didn't find any, checked many videos on youtube claiming to resolve the problem but their scatter file is very different than mine so i don't know what im missing.

maybe i downloaded the wrong ROM or something, does your scatter file contain the same data? im confused.

i also tried different versions of SP Flash Tools they all give the same error.
The ROM im flashing is 20170630, if your file is any different please share the link you used.
