After 2 weeks of intense research, I finally decided on this phone. It is very confusing with all the models and all the conflicting specs.
From my research, I've concluded that the Feiteng H9500 is the same phone as the HDC Galaxy S4 H9500 and the Feiteng H9500+ is the same as the HDC Galaxy S4 H9500 Plus. Or vice versa.
Here is the one I ordered - [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
It may vary by batch, but it seems the Plus model has the LED flash below the camera and the regular model has the LED to the left. The Plus also appears to have a micro sim slot instead of 2 regular sim slots. And the Plus is said to include a 2600mAh battery instead of the 2100mAh.
Again, these may simply vary based on the batch.
Here are a couple answers I've seen from different sites -

the same specs, but with the hdc galaxy s4 only 1 battery or two?

This two phones are the same one.
The phone hdc galaxy s4 only has one battery.
Thanks.

Reply : Dear Abel,
Thanks to your inquiry!
1.The different from H9500 and H9500+:
CB0019301:battery:2100mAh Li-ion ;Front camera: 2.0MP;Product weight: 167 g;Screen Guard.
CB0022901:Battery :2600mAh Li-ion;Front camera: 5.0MP;Product weight: 130 g;Phone Case and Screen Guard.
2.The shape of this phone is similar to S4ut others of this phone is completely different from S4.
I may be wrong and please correct me if I am. I just think this will be a fantastic phone and wanted to try and clear up some of the confusion for others who are thinking about buying this phone.

Jeffro,
Sounds like you made a good researched decision. Don't expect 'fantastic'. You might be disappointed. Expect a good phone and you'll be satisfied.

Haha. Thanks for the advice Gizbeat. I'm trying to keep my expectations low, but it's hard to keep my excitement at bay. ![Tongue Tongue](https://www.chinaphonearena.com/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif) But that's why I'm still looking for information about the phone, so I will know what type of problems I may encounter.

Well you said it seems it will be fantastic, so I was just trying to bring you back down to Earth.
Problems you can expect are slow 'cold' start GPS. Strange battery charging/discharging issues. Issues with 3G. These are some of the general problems with MTK6589 that you may or may not end up having.

If the GPS works at all, I'll be happy. Seems a lot of phones have a problem with that. I'll post a little review here when I get it along with any problems I have. But I just ordered, so probably won't have it for about a month.

You'll probably be okay. Usually the problem is people don't know they sometimes have to set the location with Faster GPS and/or turn on EPO and/or leave the phone outside for 10-15 minutes to get the cold lock.
I don't recommend turning on AGPS to test your GPS. It's artificial, unless you have an always-on data connection.

I'm sure there's similar advice on this forum, but I just came across this link from fastcardtech concerning a fix for GPS on mtk devices.

The first method activates GPS. That's done anytime you use an app that utilizes GPS.
The second method they line out is just copying the GPS.CONF, making no changes and then pasting it back to the phone.
The first method actually could be handy, as the engineering mode is built into the phone, but it's still much easier to use GPS Test from play. As opposed to navigating to engineering mode, turning on GPS, then tapping view. Just tap GPS Test and it will do all of that with a single tap.
It's very strange they make no mention of turning on AGPS, EPO or setting location (root required). None of which are required to get a lock, but will help you get it faster.
I know I'm pretty much putting a smackdown on fastcardtech, but they deserve it for this one.
