Installing update.zip gives me the following error:
assert failed;getprop ("ro.product.device") =="CXQ" || getprop ("ro.build.product") == "CXQ" error in Update.zip (status 7) installation abortet.
Remove the check from the update script, rezip and install.

Thanxxx, you made my day!!
Phone works again on lewa v1.0.4
Ferdi Sorry Guys,
My happiness was tooo early, after a reboot the phone is stuck on a bootloop,
but i can enter standars recovery <3c>.
With this recovery i cannot flash Lewas rom again.
What can i do????
Most likely you need to wipe data, eg factory reset.
If you use my scripts or work in your own scripts, your scripts or license should reflect that.

Does not help, still bootloop.
flashing lewas rom aborts with:
error:
invalid partition setting
1:mbr c00000:1400000
installation aborted

What do you mean proper? My iNew v3 worked perfectly since February with 1.0.3. Zero issues other than the charging issue that is hardware related. What's the problem?

i think i really got lucky with mine being the 900/2100 V4.0 one with the 1.0.1 Firmware thats actually the same as 1.0.4
other than the charging problem i only have:
a slightly unresponsive home button (if you are used to it it works ok-ish though)
and the NFC sometimes doesnt work (probably once turned off, it does not come back on "right" again. i'll check into that when i have more time to play around with it.
i only rooted the phone to make a proper backup, installed my stuff and replaced the launcher with Nova.
want a different calendar and then i'll probably just leave it alone unless a FW comes around that fixes the battery charging and does not introduce more problems.
GPS works fine, at least for what i need it for.
never touch a running system....
my phones current and past:
Brand phones:- Samsung Galaxy Apollo/Leo/3 - retired, 2x Samsung Galaxy S - gone, Samsung Galaxy Note - stolen , Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos - retired
- Samsung Galaxy S3
- Samsung Galaxy S4 black edition (work issue)
China phones:- Pinphone 3 (never received), Smarty A8 (MTK6515 HTC Chacha clone), iNew V3 - sold
- Xiaomi Redmi 1s - Wife's daily driver
- Xiaomi MI3 64GB with MagicSim on dual bootMIUI v5 (4.8.22) /CM11
Others: - ZTE Open (FirefoxOS) - now running ICS! -retired from duty.

my one had a bug where the phone would turn off if i ever took a photo with the flash on, so it was pretty unusable for me , and it also for some reason wiped the internal storage of gamefiles etc.
buuuut i flashed it to 1.04 and it worked perfectly fine, and me being the curious idiot i am i just had to flash others an ended up screwing up witht he miui rom, atm im sitting on the 1.08 with average gps ( i only get one satellite i think)
buut i dont use gps so its alg
gonna sit tight **hopefully**

@den10 - i did not make a nandroid backup, i made a backup with MTK Droid Tools. i also made the NVRAM backup with the same tool. my phone is still stock except for root, nova, xposed and gravitybox.
i wanted to use it like it came for about a week, but my curiosity got the better of me.

@linr76
Yeah...i see, i'm curious too ;-)
But until now i've to say All seems OK, so i stay in this way.
OK mtkdroid already used...
I wonder if there is a cwm fully compatible with our ROM (mainly For ext-SD)...

i have noticed that some programs need to be set to write to phone storage so they will write to the sd card.
must be because in this fw the microsd gets mounted on sdcard and the internal storage on sdcard1..
strange, but ok when you know it.
my battery life pretty much sucks (max 2h screentime) and the NFC is unreliable, but other than that i am really happy.
