Try to fastboot flash the stock recovery, then flash the full SD update ROM.

Or first can also try to flash the full v2.5 ROM through TWRP.

You could *possibly* fastboot boot TWRP from within terminal emulator. I haven't tried this yet. One guy tried to fastboot flash TWRP within terminal emulator and ended up bricked. So...

Its really not that hard to do the temporary TWRP through PC. there's a tutorial here. If not understanding some step, just ask.

I did it, as I mentioned in post #12 here: http://www.chinaphonearena.com/forum/Thread-Innos-D6000-All-current-ROMs-download-Innos-D6000-ROM?page=2

I updated the phone without flashing it from PC, but the PC is required for installing gapps at the end of the process.

This was my experience:

I have updated my phone from 5.0.2 using this method with no issues. Just the gapps issue, as expected.

I mean that I could update the ROM from 5.0.2 directly to 5.1.1 (2.5) using the basic recovery that comes with the phone. I try it with the upgrade option in Android (settings-->about phone-->system update) with not success, showing this message in the top in red:

Android system recovery <3e>
D6000_ROM_COMMON_V1.1

In the center of the screen the basic recovery menu, and in the bottom, in yellow:

Finding update package...
Opening update package..
E:unknown volume for path [/com.android.externalstorage.docments/document/0003-A2476000_ROM_V2.5_1106-ota-eng..zip]
E:failed to map file
Installation aborted.

Then I tried the update from the recovery menu (install from ZIP, choosing the D6000_ROM_V2.5_1106-ota-eng..zip file) and it worked fine, after 10-15 minutes.

Just the language issue (only EN/CH) and the gapps issue.

Thanks Jccodina, I'll probably do the same as you and mobile flash to v2.5 and then use the PC to flssh temporary twrp to install superSu for root..... may i ask what gapps version you used? i really only need the app market, i dont really use any other google services.

I downloaded the gapps from [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]

ARM64 + 5.1 + Nano

But the recommendation is

ARM64 + 5.1 + Pico (minimum set of gapps)
