Quote:If you haven't heard of Mlais before, it's understandable. They haven't been pushed too much by the sellers catering to international customers. However, they make a great phone. The Mlais MX56 is the same as the same phone as Hero H7500+ and Zopo ZP810. The MX86 is the same phone as the Zopo ZP950.

It must suck being American and liking chinese phones. Most of UK and Europe can use 2100 on the 3G no problems.

I mentioned it in the preview, but this phone reportedly has 850/900/1900/2100 WCDMA. They list it at the official site as having it as well. But if so, this will be a first for MTK. There's no other MTK phone I know of that is tuned to accept all 4. If it turns out to be true, history will be made, but I'm not holding my breath. Manufacturer's have put false information before. Notably Jiayu who advertised Penta-Band WCDMA on their official site and only ended up with 2100.

NexusTrix, I confirm as well: it sucks. I'm both an American and a T-Mobile loyalist. That's a double-whammy and pretty much condemns me to eternal 2G networks with these Chinese phones. What's crazy, though, is that I shelved my Nexus 4 in favor of one. I have 3G capabilities (with a faster processor and more RAM to boot) sitting on the nightstand next to my bed, but as it turns out I'd rather have a big screen, big battery, and expandable SD memory. Go figure, eh?
