Would like to improve the ROM I have on my phone but do not know where to start. It is now rooted and has english CWM so I guess it can be dumped out but I would like to remove the china apps that are of no use and replace them with Google Apps. I guess if I could get them all loaded into the system partition then it would leave more room for other apps in the data partition.
Can anybody plesae give me some pointers on where to start ??
I am not a noob when it comes to computers etc but for phone ROMs I am ......

You can use Titanium or any root system app uninstaller to remove the system Chinese apps. Maybe back them up first with the uninstaller in case you accidentally remove something vital.
How much space are they taking up?
Most apps by default should be installing to the system partition. The ones that don't, usually install to SD because of app requirements.
Also, you can move apps around with apps2sd. Gizbeat uses Super aTool Box, but many apps can do it.
You can also try and find EBR to flash and change the partition sizes.
