Many people have been frustrated waiting for China phones to come up to speed by including Android 4.4 KitKat OS as opposed to the standard Android 4.2.2. This has been the least of my concerns regarding China brands, but compared to our regular purchases, a $200 or $300 price tag can be a substantial investment […]
Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
If you're betrayed, release disappointment at once.
By that way, the bitterness has no time to take root.
Interesting news, but does anyone own this phone realy?
I mean it has very good specs, looks great, but price is above
other chinese phones. I did search but didnt realy find talk about
it on any forum.
It is a risk to buy phone that you cannot know anything about in advance.
I only found generic reviews, no real use experience.
The 4.4 hasn't been released yet. It's in the works. Green orange is quite good about updating their ROMs with regular OTA updates. The phones look great. Not your standard clone. Having your own OS is a fairly good sign the company has put serious effort into their line, thus the phone is likely well made. Dual LED flash is unique to most China brands.
The big issue is what bands does it support. Some shops show 900/2100. Some show 2100 only. I've also see 850/2100... Sad to see a great looking phone with nice styling and no idea whether it will even work on your networks.
i had considered this Green Orange NX also, but as already stated it's a bit thin regarding to information about it.
the specs are great, if they are true, but in my opinion the "own OS" part turns me off almost immediately.
don't care for MiUI, ViBE, MYUI, Color OS and all this - i am done with that since i left Samsung's Touchwiz behind.
a clean vanilla Android is all i want, you can customize it yourself however you want.

I have to agree with this Linr. I also prefer just vanilla Android. Not that you were arguing against my point, but to clarify - I merely made the point to suggest that if they have spent the time and energy to create a proper Android fork and putting out regular OTA updates, they likely have put some effort into making a proper phone as well. If we look at other companies (Xiaomi, Lenovo etc..) who have made their own OS, they are normally considered quite serious and produce quality phones. Obviously it's just a correlation... But it's a good sign.
What's not a good sign is that there's pathetically little info available about them. At least from what I've seen. Maybe it exists in bulk in China website world.
Lack of info is what turns me from this phone, othervise I was pretty insterested, especially that now
price dropped to 360$.
I think I will choose THL T100s, it has same specs, smaller screen is also more suitable for me (not that 5.5" is deal braker), now they released better battery. It has very good comunity support which will grow opposed to NX.
I would purchase T100 already but it is terribly ugly to me
I was waiting for another 5" feature packed phone with deacent battery but there is still none and i really need
new phone since my Bedove X12 cant satisfy my current needs.
I would wait for OnePlus One but dual SIM is a must.
I am looking for the stock recovery image. Actually is a rebranded fom this green orange nx. And i happened to flash a custom recovery which somehow affects the mounting of usb storage in otg... That is why i wanted to reflash the stock recovery
