These are not produced in 10,000 unit batches like with Samsung and Apple. It is a brand new phone and coming to shops in small batches.

The ordering and deal has been done. My guess is that iNew must prepare the order and get it shipped to Gearbest.

The last message I received from them was that everything has been ironed out money wise.

You have already canceled and ordered from somewhere else, which I completely understand, but there's need for you to worry any further.

No worries and no bad feelings. I will order again from Gearbest at the future, but I am just curious of what they told me comparing to what you said.

I mostly deal with their forum rep, who told me that as of today, whatever issue that needed to be ironed out with iNew has now been ironed out.

This is a brand new phone. Barely out of the testing stage. Batches are prepared and shipped in smallish numbers. On to the next step, getting the batch prepared and shipped to Gearbest. Which depends on iNew. Then prepared and shipped to customers. Its already Wednesday... That likely makes it next week until they'll go out.

I am just making my best guess, as it is 2am in China I don't have contact with them at the moment. I will find more details tomorrow.

Be assured that this is the last shop in China that is trying to rip you off. You wanted a refund, I'm guessing it went smoothly and no problems. Not a lot of shops you can say that about. If the refund didn't go smoothly, please let me know ASAP and I'll make sure it's taken care of.

I didn't hear from them, after I asked them to cancel the order because of the time difference.
When I asked them to cancel the order it was about 11:00pm. Tomorow morning probably the will answer me.

I'm certain there will be no issues. If I'm wrong, just let me know or post a very kind note in their forum with your order # and cancellation request and we'll get it fixed.

I have ordered V8 on Sep. 30. So it's more then 2 weeks now, they keep telling me please, wait 1-2 days. And I paid for expedited shipping!
Anybody know what is going on?

Hi Leo, sorry about this. I will talk to them today. I believe the iNew V8 is on backorder from iNew.

China customs delay, where they were inspecting every package before clearing it. The China national holiday which they took time off work from Oct 1-7, and a DHL warehouse fire. The customs delay started around the middle of September, but it took a long time to clear. I believe everything should be back to normal now, but they probably still have a huge backlog of orders piled up from the delays.

The same thing happened to me too, and I'm still waiting for my V8 that I ordered on Sept 9th with expedited shipping. My DHL tracking was stuck at "Shipment Info Received" for the longest time. Gizbeat was able to help me out and get them to re-ship a new phone to me since there seems to be an issue with the original they shipped out, so hopefully he can help you out as well.
