#1
yo Damian.. i did it!... i upgraded to 4.2.1 !! .. dont even ask me which one haha.. its stock, i know that haha. it was the one you linked me on page 4 or 5 i think. the helium backup was a complete fail! .. no apps were saved.. but my music and pictures are still on my sd card?.. havent a clue.. i tested antutu and my 2d was 370 i think, now its 599.. so thats good?.. i will test it the next few days and let you know how it goes! Excellent. It's fun right? Smile

It should have been [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register], or Dzhyn 4 Glass Mod.... If not, do it again Thumbs Up Because the older versions of 4.2.1 had some issues with smoothness.

Hmm...Did you root again? If you're not rooted, you won't be able to restore the apps properly with Helium.

ya im rooted again.. but when using helium before i upgraded it wouldnt give me the option to back up to the pc (i did what i needed to do) .. so i backed it up on the sd card.. then after the upgrade i downloaded helium again but cant restore anything..
yes i used that ROM that you linked. one thing iv noticed is the sound isnt as loud..

So to clarify, you were rooted when you tried to restore with Helium? Correct?

I've had the opposite experience with sound. My sound was louder and phone conversations better quality with 4.2.1.

Maybe give Dzyhn a try. Now that you've done it once, you want to do it again, don't you?

yep i was rooted when trying to restore with helium ...my sound is the same when above 50% but when its lower than its harder to hear. not sure yet about call quality..
Dzyhn looks different though.. i like the look of stock..... yes i do want to do it again haha

The levels could be set differently. For me, I found the volume at the high end significantly louder.

I like stock too. But just for the sake of fun, you can try Dzyhn if you want. You can always change the launcher to stock, Apex or Nova.

If you want to try it, install TWRP (see sticky thread and skip steps regarding root), then follow the instructions in the Dzyhn firmware thread.

ya, i might fool around with it... i have to figure out the backup first haha.. will there be a 4.2.2 available?
