I flashed a wrong recovery image on my Sony Xperia C c2305 having mediatek MT6589 chipset.

Now,i cannot boot the phone anymore(into recovery or fastboot).

When i plug in for charging rhe red LED glows for 5 minutes and goes off.Same thing happens when i connect to PC via USB.

The phone is bricked..is there any way on how i can repair this phone(like the testpoint method or something)

Sony xperia C specification
Chipset:Mediatek MT6589
Os:Android 4.2.2 Jellybean
Ram:1 gb

Please tell me any way to repair this phone..im ready to try everything.

Thank you
Hi madboy46 !

Do you have already tried Sony Update Tool ?
If you haven't already tried it ... download it here :

Try to flash the firmware with this tool.
STEPS :
1) remove back cover and connect your device with pc via usb cable.
2) press and hold down the OFF button using a pen (the device will turn off automatically).
3) your device will reboot and connect in charging mode.
4) remove usb cable so your phone will turn off.
5) open Sony Update Tool.
6) connect your device and flash with this tool.

Don't forget to update to NET Framework 4.6 RC (on Windows 7).
Instead, on Windows 8 you will to have to extract XperiFirm.exe.config with XperiFirm.exe

:-)
Thnks u cleopatra..im on windows xp...is sony update tool still availabe? I thought i got replaced by PC companion
Don't worry ... it works on Windows XP (Service Pack 3) too.
Don't forget to update to NET Framework 4.0

:-)

I have hard bricked the phone by flashing wrong recovery..
Plz tell me the method of sp flash tool can it repair this?

Also this fone does not have test points.

Mediatek MT6589

I cant even charge the phone
Hi madboy46 !

I dubt that SP Flash Tool will restore your device ... because you can't remove the battery from your phone. I can only suggest you to read the tutorial below (but the problem is the low battery) :

Thank u cleo..i hav already tried that method..but failed.

What if we remove the battery manually and try sp flash tool?
madboy46, if you have the ROM with right format, you can use SP Flash Tool for mediatek phones. It is possible to flash even phones with a non-removable battery. but you must have the ROM with the right format first...
Dear tiefighter_85,

I have suggested to madboy46 to use the "Sony Update Tool" because I have done some research on the net related to how to flash properly the Xperia devices. With "Sp Flash Tool" in particular, I haven't found anything (also on the Developers site I haven't found anything about SP Flash Tool). It is possible that I have not tried enough ... but usually when I give solutions to the other members always I do research before.

:-)
Thanku u tiefighter..i"ll try to get the ROM.

Cleo ur help is deeply appreciated..
