Maine, of everybody in existence your personal reviews make me want to buy more gadgets than anything I've ever read. Ever. The B6000 really blows the S7589 out of the water? THAT much better? Daaaang. And I was considering buying myself a S7589 to mod like you'd told me. Kinda makes me wish I had a time machine so I could just skip ahead to when my phone was officially obsolete. It'd make it so much easier to justify buying any of these.

What brand is your SD card?

LOL.
S7589 is not bad phone at all. It is just the comparison.

B6000 does NOT accept 64GB micro SDHC cards, whereas S7589 does. So I put in Sandisk 32GB microSD.
Also, I was unable to install Lenovo camera on B6000, and S7589 gladly took it.
There is no TWRP recovery I could find for B6000, CWM-only.
S7589 has TWRP.

I did not even change the stock ROM on B6000, I did not find any reason for that.

On S7589 I tried several ROMs until I found my perfect one.

B6000 advantages: absolutely beautiful screen and very fast CPU, MTK6589T.
Everything else, S7589 wins. It is not a bad phone, on the contrary, it is very good.

Don't tell this to Rkdmkr Big Grin, but I got my last Antutu score on B6000 at 15600.
My S7589 gives me 13130 under same conditions.

I had Nexus 4, the same as you have (even the white special edition version), and I sold it to start my china phones adventure. Now I have 5 of them, and number 6, i6000, is coming Big Grin I am a junkie, I know that. Big Grin

S7589:I am totally satisfied w/ROM I have posted in the S7589 forum.
B6000: stock.
Just bought the Star B6000 and its a great phone for the price paid, really impressed.

I dont know if anyone can help me but I would be really indebted if someone had a dump of the original Stock ROM. I thought I'd taken a good nand backup from CWM and went to a Bluebo ROM but the proximity sensor doesnt work out of the box with the book flip case I bought for the phone.

Tried to recover to the backup but it kept failing Sad

Would anyone be able to provide me with the stock Star B6000 ROM that I could flash either via flash_tools or CWM ?

Many thanks
Mike

where did you get the flip case?

There is a very good chance I'll post the stock ROM soon Big Grin
Here:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/809rmq

Unzip.
Put the resulting folder into \clockwordmod\backup directory of your microSD card.

Reboot into CWM.

Restore.

Profit!
