Hi guys I've recently bought myself an Oukitel k4000 pro running on lollipop 5.1 this is the version with the 4600 mah battery amazing battery life by the way I'm getting 12 hours screen on time.

Overall I really like the phone but one thing that bugs me is the charging time I ran the phone down close to zero and the phone took over 10 hours to fully recharge I am using a 5v 2 amp ac charger so not a low power charger I have also tried the 1.5 amp original charger no difference. Are there any other Oukitel K4000/k4000pro users that can tell me how long their phones take to charge to 100%. Thanks.
Did you try a different charger? That's a very long time.

What is the rating of the original adapter that came with the phone?

Hi yes thanks for the fast reply I've tried 3 different chargers 1 amp the original 1.5amp charger supplied with the phone and my more powerful 2 amp charger all make very little difference to the charging time I'm estimating it is charging at 11% an hour with the 2 amp charger this is with no apps running and the screen off overnight.
If your phone came with 1 amp charger, then your phone probably won't accept much more than that. Just because using a 2A charger, doesn't mean the phone will charge at 2A. It's up to the phone and how much juice it can accept.

But even with only 1A, it should be charging in about 5 hours. It could be that the phone only accepts .5, which sounds crazy in 2016. Let's see if someone else has the phone can confirm.

Hi just to confirm the phone shipped with a 1.5 amp charger I just tried a 1 amp charger I had lying around I wanted to raise this question to see if others with the same device have this problem so we shall see. What you're suggesting makes sense so possibly Oukitel have set the device up wrong and its only taking 500mah?

I don't think it's set up wrong. It's possibly intentional, but unlikely because almost all phones now are at least 1A minimum. Only very cheap ones might still be 500mah. Also they gave 1.5A charger, so...

I have found this from Oukitel about Oukitel K4000 vs Oukitel K4000 Pro

"K4000 is carrying a 5V/1A normal charger, takes 3-4 hours to be fully charged. K4000 pro is carrying a 5V/1.5A quick charge charger; you can charge K4000 pro within 3.5 hours."

So probably it is some problem. Can be main board or the USB board, or the USB cable, or adapter which you already tried different ones.

I guess you tried different cable...And different outlet?

It's possible a problem with the phone too. Can be the main board or the USB board, or that is design of the phone, or the USB cable. I guess you tried different cable...?

Yeah ive tried 2 different ac chargers and the 1.5 amp USB charger they gave me with 2 different USB cables it still has the same effect no matter what I use to charge the phone.
Okay. I edited my post above. Then most likely it is problem with phone.

Last thing to try is different house. I know sounds crazy, but I have had some phones charge fine in some houses, but not others.

If still not charging normal, then replace USB board.
I found this for K4000, but coildnt find for Pro. I think still should fit

Can't guarantee will solve the issue, but it's the next cheapest thing to try.

I still have warranty on the phone bought it from Amazon from a seller that's in my country so returning shouldn't be too much of an issue that board perhaps wouldn't fit as the k4000 USB is on the bottom and on this phone it is on the top of the phone.

Yea. If easy, return it then. ASAP.
