that will depend on the uses you need. myself, i think the most useful is rooting. i don't use functions of cwm much. for daily use the rooting much more useful. if asked, do you want root? or do you want cwm? i take root yes, it's nice to have both though if you can have it

I use rooting for 2 purposes. 1)to use applications needing root. 2) to install custom recovery and ROMs. It is really a pain in the ass to install custom CWM recovery in Neken N6. I started hating this phone.

Can someone please translate this from some other forum? It is on Spanish and when i try google translate nothing have sense. Looks like this method works.


Como he logrado meterle una ROM nueva al neken N6 (por flashtools)

1- Use esta ROM q esta traducida [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register], escogi la q pone new screen, no la otra pq esa no me iba.
No me fue ninguna otra rom, asi q no se si sera por eso de la nueva pantalla...
Para instalar activar la casilla DA DL..., se hace dandole a flash upgrade (algo asi). Si os dice algo de download, pasais a la parte de brickeo

2- Una vez instalada por flashtools se reinicia y eso, y despues usamos el vroot (1.7.2) para hacerle el root.

Si os da fallo y se queda sin encender, probad esto:

1- Descargar la ROM desde [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
2-Abrir flashtools
3-Seleccionar el scatter de esa misma rom pulsando en el boton
4-Marcar la casilla DA DL arriba a la derecha
5-Dar a download
6-Conectar el telefono brickeado y esperar a q termine

Una vez aqui tenemos la ROM en chino, pero podremos flashear la otra ROM por el otro metodo

Obviamente no me hago responsable de lo q pase, yo lo he conseguido asi y de momento tengo la ROM nueva, rooteada y tuneada sin las apps q no queria del sistema y titanium funcionando, o sea q rooteada de verdad

Para el recovery.. .habra q seguir probando, lo he intentado con varios y no he conseguido q vaya ninguno :S
