This needs to be flashed through SP Flash Tools. After flashing, factory reset.

Hi,

I tryed this with my MTK6592 (Jiake X3s with 16GB ROM), but after factory reset it has bootloop. Thats what I did:

1. backup with MtkDroidTools
2. FlashTool - loaded the scatter from my backup, uncheked all entrys, choosed your EBR1 and EBR2 files and started flashing - I got "okay" at the end
3. boot into recovery and made factory reset
4. reboot - then got bootloop and only see Jiake bootscreen

Please tell me if I did wrong. Thank you

regards

Have a MTK6572 from Irulu. Found a EBR1 and MBR on their site and flashed it to my phone. It actually increased my internal app storage from 502mb to 1.27gb and decreased the phone storage from 2.11gb to 1.36 gb. Compared the new EBR1 and MBR against one for a mtk6577 and found that they are the same formats for emmc phones. Was wondering if somebody had a 6577 EBR1 and MBR that is modified for a 4gb internal storage so that I could increase my app storage by one more gig.

Here is my new EBR1 and MBR, probably will work for any emmc china phone mtk6572 chip. Working on mine now as we speak. Was debating on switching my phone storage and sdcard to read the other way around and flashing the 7gb ebr1 mbr that you had posted.

Here are the ones I am using on my tablet, uploaded to google drive:

Happy me!

Well found a hexeditor for ubuntu that works and let me compare ebr and mbr against one another. Still have my old EBR1 and MBR that had my phone give 503mb. Got my hands on the new EBR1 and MBR that I shared above and loaded it on my phone, extended my internal app storage up to 1.2gb.

So, I want to try to get at least another 1024mb, my internal phone storage is now 1.34gb, this would leave 10mb of phone storage Smiling

Well I compared the old EBR1 and MBR against the new ones and found that the two MBR are identical, the differance is in the EBR1.

Here is a link for the [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] and [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register] posted again on google drive.

Here are the differences:

OLD EBR1

NEW EBR1
00 00 83 00 00 00 00 06 16 00 00 C0 0B 00 00 00 00 00 83 00 00 00 00 C6 21 00 00 60 29 00 00 00 00 00 83 00 00 00 00 26 4B 00 FF D9 B4 FF 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 55 AA

So, my question is, how can I change the values in the NEW EBR1 to increase my app storage to another 512*2?
Hi,
I have iNew I4000 MTK 6589 16GB and I would like to change the available memory from 1 Gb to 13 Gb but I have a problem with the driver MT65XX Preloader who works for a while then turns off.
Please Help
Figured it out, how to modify the EBR1 and scatter.txt file for mtk6572. Is't easy with the EBR1 but the scatter is a bit more complicated. You don't have to edit the scatter, the mod will work...but...there are bugs without doing anything with the scatter.txt.

For example, before, and after, the mod, some apps did not notify me in the menubar, now they do. My tablet is binging away now, also the modifying of the scatter improved the speed on the tablet, even from before.
Hi there Gizabeat. I'm a new user (as probably people can tell) and i'm looking for some advice regarding a Samsung Galaxy S5 clone i bought (SM-G900H).

Model - mtk6589_e_lca
Hardware - mt6582
Screen Resolution - 480 x 852
Total RAM - 1062 MB

I'll add more info if needed. The internal storage is 0.51 GB and needless to say, the phone is slow, i keep getting the "Internal Storage running low" popup and i really want to change the storage in order to have more space and have the phone run faster.

I saw a few guides with the METEOS ROM but i had problems with the custom recovery. So i saw that you can partition the storage without using the program. Any chance i could get some help?

Thanks in advance!
If you want to get (reliable) information about your phone, install PdaNet drivers and let MTK Droid Tools detect your phone. I find that is the best way to weed out all the faking that manufacturers stuff into clone phones.
Those tools can be downloaded from MTK General Tools Section. Once you get the information, let us know what your maximum ROM storage is, then we can advice if there is a better way to partition your phone memory.

Here is a good tutorial from NexusTrix [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
There is already a table there so you won't have to do the computations on your own.
The method just needs great attention to detail so you don't mess your phone up, but other than that, it is pretty quick to do

This is what i got with MTK Druid Tools. So now i should follow that tutorial?
What about the total phone storage size? It should show at the bottom of mtk droid tools.
