Thank you for your fast reply I think this thread is going to be very helpful to the clone owners, I'd like to ask you another 2 things, I swaped my phone storage memory "sd card0" with the external sd "sd card1" by editing the file /etc/vold.fstab because the phone storage memory is small (1.2 GB) , by doing so I can use any sd card as phone storage , and the previous small phone storage became external sd ,but this new external sd is useless it would be better if i managed to merge it with my internal memorey , that would be useful, so is there a way to do that?.
Now the other thing I would like to ask you about is the fake info of the RAM , Internal storage & phone storage (but not the external) my phone shows , if i used any external app it shows me the real values , and when i use the system setting i got this fake values, is there a way to fix that ,thank you very much for your help and if you are busy I'm in no hurry for the answers , thank you again for your help and for your time.
Hey @Kico.MMK . Thanks for the reply, man.

Unfortunately, most of what you're asking is not in my technical expertise. These may be incomplete answers, but here's what I do know:

If your internal storage is limited there are two things which are common to do:
- Easiest: Use something like App2SD (Hopefully you're not on KitKat)
- Less easy: Modify your EBR to make your phone's internal memory partition larger (and your phone's internal storage smaller). There's a tutorial or two on this forum on how to do that.

When specs are faked, it's common for them to be faked in build.prop
Hi there I got a china clone for my birthday. I tried to figure out the manicaturer, but see what I got from Anbutu and "About":

(see the screens)

The camera is working, but makes terrible pictures and there are no adjustments for the resolution, except in mpxl's. GPS is also not working.... My question is - what ROM I could use to replace the current and will it help to solve these problems? I am asking, because a saw in you tube similar problem (with camera) solved this way, but the guy knew the brand of his phone and did found a proper ROM for it...

Thanks in advance!
Hey @mengel . Happy belated Birthday.

Short version: I recommend against flashing a ROM unless you know it'll work. If you choose to go this route, make sure you back up your current ROM correctly because there's a super high probability you'll end up going back to it.

Do everything you can to verify your hardware on your phone. Even though the phone is reporting having an MT6592, your GPS problems make me think that your specs are being faked. Unfortunately, the older MediaTek SoC have known issues with weaksauce GPS. It's a hardware issue and cannot be overcome with software. The good news is that the MT6592 era of processors really do have decent GPS, but the bad news is that I'm skeptical your phone actually has an MT6592 processor. Did you install Antutu yourself, or did it come pre-installed on the phone? What was your overall Antutu score?

Also, as a paranoid-precaution, I urge you to scribble out the IMEI on the picture you posted. It's a good idea to just keep that number to yourself.

Have you tried any third-party camera apps? I side-loaded Lenovo's camera (Snap It, See It) onto my last several phones and have really enjoyed it. Surely there are others out there which offer more flexibility.
Hi WuddaWaste,

Thank you very much for reply! I really appreciated!
Yes, I installed Antutu by myself an score was around 26 000, which maybe is good! As a performance, the phone is fast an I like it!...I did backup of my original ROM (actually, this is my first deal with smartphones, I've always been only a user!), but still wonder, what ROM will be suitable for it and is it worth it to try!

Short version: I recommend against flashing a ROM unless you know it'll work. If you choose to go this route, make sure you back up your current ROM correctly because there's a super high probability you'll end up going back to it. About the camera, I tried some apps from playstore, but didn't find any good! Could you suggest some?

Thank you very much again!
Before proceeding, your score of ~26,000 on Antutu is pretty decent and about on par with what I'd expect for an MT6592.

If you're just going to be flashing things, without knowing what your phone actually is... it's pretty much a shot in the dark. Find phones with very similar hardware (same processor, same RAM, same screen resolution at a MINIMUM), and then.... just see what happens?

Again: I really and truly strongly, strongly, strongly caution against this. Your probability of bricking your phone is super super high. Even though you can recover a bricked phone with a proper backup, it's still a giant pain in the butt and a waste of time.

In either case, I wish you luck my friend.

Thanks @edcoolio . Seriously, you rock so much man.

@mengel : The Lenovo Super Camera is the same thing I mentioned before (Snap It, See It). I use it and I love it. Many thanks to edcoolio for finding and posting a direct link. Sideload away, and live happily ever after.
Hi Guys, Thanks a lot! I didn't expect... But unfortunately th Lenovo camera app is not working and many similar apps I tried too! Those who worked, gives me higher resolution, nut the same quality, so I suspect that hardware is bad!... By the way I read in some russian forums, that so salled "radio module" could be optimized by software, which allow to improve the quality of signal, as much is possible, but it is possible after installation of particular custom ROM...

Thanks again! Wink
