Hi all,
Yesterday I tried to put the phone to factory defaults settings, but the process failed, im reinsert the battery, but at next boot the phone stuck on the logo.

So, i flashed phone with official ROM from needrom.com wiwth SP Flash tools. Phone boots up, i hear sounds, i can control the phone with touchscreen but I see only black and white (and more colors) stripes across the display.... even in recovery mode. Another flash doesnt have effect, its still same "broken" screen.

Is the screen damaged or it was caused by "badl ROM?
Anybode can help me please? Sad

look at video please (or image):

Can anybody with this Cubot s208 make backup of your stock ROM for me by following this video?

Thank you in advance.
Hi

I don't have your device but why did you

Was your device already faulty? Unfortunately a different ROM won't resolve a failing hardware issue. Secondly once you change your root status....and/or ROM ....your seller can void your warranty.

2) The ROM builder provides a warning that it is only for a specific chipset. Do you remember if that is an exact match?
If it is not a match.....that would explain why your flash did not work.

3) Can you still get into factory reset mode?

4) Have you contacted your seller and asked them very politely if they can supply the flashtool version of their factory or stock ROM?

I ask this as there does not appear to be enough Cubot users to maximise your chance of getting their ROM.

5) At least one of our forum sponsors sells the mt6582 version. Even if you did not buy from them.....consider asking them if there is some fee you pay and help if your original seller does not offer any help

good luck
1. I just wanted reset all to default via reset factory data in android settings>backup. In this process my smartphone stuck, so i removed battery and reinsert it, but at next boot smartphone cant boot - stuck at bot logo. But screen was without problem, i saw everything.
2. I flashed original room from needrom.com, and then i tried rom from official site cubot.cc too, its same rom, and same screen problem.
3. Nope i cant boot to recovery (volume up + power), screen is same faulty as at normal boot.
4. No, i will try it.

Its look like LCD panel is hardware broken, but i dont know, i just flashed other ROM...

If you believe that.....you had a case for a warranty claim depending on whether the seller allows you to root your phone and/or install ROMs

That was not my question.
What is your CPU chipset? If you are not sure send me a pm with the sellers link in it please.
hi, i have MTK6582.
i fixed the "broken" screen with flash original file "lk.bin" via SP flash tools (user on other forum sent me this file, but he has slow internet connection for upload full backup).
Then i flash touch recovery and it works, i cant boot with volume up + power button, (but no with vol down + power).
In recovery i flash custom MIUI room.
So i see everything on screen and i have recovery. WHen i connect in recovery phone to PC and start MTK Droid tools, i think that i have deleted NVRAM....
check this image:

When i turn on the phone, it is stuck at boot logo (with original ROM i have restats every 10 seconds)
In recovery i tried wipe data, but without effect, still stuck...
Any idea what next please?

Hello, did you still get your phone fixed. Could you attach the lk.bin file you used? I seem to have exactly the same problem
Found this custom ROM file in Zip format online, you could install it from sdcard in the recovery menu. [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]. Do you still have the lk.bin file you used to recover your phone from the blinking screen. I would like to use it so I can get access to restore my phone through the recovery menu. thanks
sorry I use Linux so can't use any Windows tool. but I do see that IMEI is blank in your image. I hope others will have a look please

In the meantime can you explain this pls

Does that mean you can no longer get into recovery or factory mode, from the MIUI rom?

2) If that other user was nice enough to send you his lk.bin maybe he would offer his nvram backup?
But there are tutorials here on how to re-embed your IMEI but you don't explicity say you can't make or receive calls.

You mentioned you flashed your phone's stock ROM, and had a working phone except for the display. You then fixed the display by flashing the lk.bin you obtained.
Does this mean you had a fully functional phone at that point? (Before flashing a custom ROM)

If so, try reverting to that version. Format your phone, flash the stock ROM, flash the lk.bin to fix your display, then make an NVRAM backup with Droid Tools.

That way you have an NVRAM backup to restore/flash after you flash the custom ROM.
