Sorry for the trouble.. =)
fstab changes using stock recovery.fstab without emmc stuff to
Quote:/cache ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p2
/data ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p3
/emmc vfat /dev/block/mmcblk0p4
/system ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p6
/sdcard vfat /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 /dev/block/mmcblk1

values change to something more like I was expecting
Quote:ro.product.model=Q850
ro.product.brand=Cherry Mobile
ro.product.name=Cherry Amber 2
ro.product.device=techain82_wet_kk
ro.product.cpu.abi=armeabi-v7a
ro.product.cpu.abi2=armeabi
ro.product.manufacturer=Cherry

2) how did you get those images so large?

is this some kind of flashtools you used?

3) can you go into system settings and go to storage pls

I would like photos of all screens you have pls. In particular if you have no sdcard inserted and don't use one....please say so.

4) please confirm you have booted into stock recovery in the past and you have no errors. If you have never been in.....please reboot into it or shutdown and boot into it........if you see any errors I want photos please

b) I have no idea what recovery image you posted before.....but I am reluctant to give you a CTR until I am more confident your currect stock recovery actually works.

if my fstab is wrong.....I risk bricking your phone and damaging my rep.

###############
EDIT

we better have a look at your dumchar file to be sure

in Android install a terminal and no need for root....run this command first

Code:
busybox cp /proc/dumchar* /sdcard/dumchar.txt

If you can't find * on the android keyboard....install hackers keyboard and its found by pressing the left shift key

alternatively use the understem symbol like this
Code:
busybox cp /proc/dumchar_info  /sdcard/dumchar.txt

then upload that text file and provide a download link to it pls.
Do not edit it in any way pls.

cheers

-Inside the zip theres a shot from the command you gave using terminal emu, the screenshot of my storage, and my stock recovery.. I unmounted my external sd before doing this stuff

Boot and recovery IMG:
-I used sp flashtool to generate stock recovery and boot.img
-I wonder why its size is 16mb. I have my external sd card inserted when i was getting the stock recovery and img. I was thinking maybe because of its kitkat o.s.. just guessin..
-and im sure about the hex value i input inside the flashtool

-anyway, I have a backup of my rom.
-thank you

1) There is not a shot of the actual command, there is a photo of the second screen for some error you have with my command.

I suspect English is not your first language?
Please say so.....I am not angry.....but I need to assume your English is poor based on this bit and the next bit.

2) I did not ask you to unmount your sdcard and because you did that might be the reason for the error.

The dumchar command i gave earlier is attempting to copy a file to your sdcard.

Your sdcard MUST be mounted for this to work OK

3) I want you to install hacker's keyboard as per this post

[Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]

You will notice I include a photo of the actual command I want you to use.
With an extra command......su

Its possible your copy command (cp) failed for a number of reasons
a) sdcard not mounted
b) root powers needed by your device
c) your device is missing busybox

############################
Please read carefully
###########################

1) Do NOT use flashtools until we know the reason for it showing large sizes.

2) I want to see a photo exactly like this

see my photo includes a blank line below the cp command?
-----this proves the command worked.

If your command fails.....you will get errors
then take a photo of your device.

use the swipe up function to show errors if you have multiple screens please.

use the menu key on your device to TOGGLE SOFT KEYBOARD

toggle means to turn off keyboard if its on
OR
turn on if its off.

3) Assuming your command works....I want you to upload dumchar.txt to a file hosting site and link back to it please.

good luck

ERRORS
if you are struggling to set up hacker's keyboard....reply to that post please

If you are struggling with my English or commands or requests say so and I will attempt to dumb down my instructions

good luck

Heres my dumchar..
Quote:Heres my dumchar..

where is link please?

also don't use a quote box to quote all my post....its a waste of space.

thanks
Im sorry.. =)
heres the link [Only registered and activated users can see links Click here to register]
Ok your photo shows no errors and you can use the command without root

OK your dumchar shows the hex size of boot image is exactly the same size as the recovery image.

Using online coverter we get 16 Megs
so it looks like your flashtool might be ok after all.

################
but you must not use it for my CTR
I will explain later
##############

from dumchar I can see we need to change recovery.fstab again
and
more importantly......YOUR STOCK RECOVERY IS WRONG
you must not use it

################

Here is new CTR recovery.fstab contents without the emmc stuff
note that system has changed from prevous post that used your stock recovery fstab
that is why you can not use stock recovery

and why you need a good recovery
Quote:/system ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p5
/cache ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p6
/data ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p7
/emmc vfat /dev/block/mmcblk0p8
/sdcard vfat /dev/block/mmcblk1p1 /dev/block/mmcblk1

Internal storage does not show in dumchar,
not does sdcard show in dumchar.
#################
OK so first download file and save to base of sdcard

I have not had time to train you on how to use ADB so you may need to
turn off phone.....remove sdcard.....add file to it on PC.....
insert sdcard and reboot phone
-----on reboot....sdcard is automatically mounted so no mount it.

Sir, Im not sure if l did it correctly but im very familiar with flashing a recovery using mobile uncle.
I download the file you gave and a got a bin file, I renamed it into recovery.img and flashed it with mobile uncle. When it booted into recovery, it ended up booting with the same stock recovery. Theres no mount and unmount option, not even a touch recovery.

Maybe I misunderstood what you have said. =(
Quote:I download the file you gave and a got a bin file,
I have no idea why windows would do that

it was uploaded as recovery-ctr.img
It was never a bin file

Maybe in windows .......you have hidden known extension types in windows explorer?

before you attempt to download again
look at your current windows explorer at your original
stock recovery.img

---Do you see it full name as recovery.img?

Now click on my link and download as is

do not rename it as recovery.img......there is more than one reason why it should not be called recovery.img.

I am not sure if windows users can use md5 but the byte size = 6,559,744 bytes

good luck

I have lost wired internet at home for unknown time so won't be active much as my mobile is pay as you go making internet expensive.

I wonder if you can test my true root link in signature please.....you may lack true root

Mobileuncle expects full root powers to flash a new recovery

Goodluck
